When Pokemon Sun and Pokemon Moon were released, the titles did much to reinvigorate the main line Pokemon franchise with phenomenal sales and strong reviews, and as such it was no surprise to see Nintendo announce Pokemon Ultra Sun and Pokemon Ultra Moon. Although both Nintendo and The Pokemon Company are keeping details close by for now, long-term fans of the series will no doubt be interested in picking up a steelbook version of the games.

As luck would have it, a steelbook dual pack of Pokemon Ultra Sun and Pokemon Ultra Moon is going to be available for players. The steelbook contains both games, as well as a fantastic-looking steelbook case with art of the legendary Pokemonof Solgaleo and Lunala, which are in Pokemon Sun and Pokemon Moon respectively.

The steelbook is set for release on November 17, 2017, the same as the standard retail version of the game, and is currently up for grabs at $79.99 over on Amazon. For now, though, those tempted to pre-order can have a look at the potential design of the steelbook case, which certainly seems to be up to scratch.

Although Pokemon Ultra Sun and Pokemon Ultra Moon are still filled with a fair amount of mystery so far, there have been a few details unveiled about the titles that will no doubt prove enticing for those after another bash at a Pokemon adventure. For starters, players will apparently have access to an alternative version of the story found in the original versions of Pokemon Sun and Moon, although exactly what differences will be in the final game remains to be seen.

One change that seems to be arriving with the launch of Pokemon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon is the addition of new Pokemon to the original game. This will certainly be of note to those Pokemon trainers desperate to catch 'em all, particularly given the hints that the likes of Unown may have a role in Pokemon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon, although exactly how the inscrutable Pokemon comes into play will no doubt be revealed in time.

Those after a more direct look at second generation Pokemon are also in luck. After all, the original versions of Pokemon Gold and Pokemon Silver are coming to the 3DS via Virtual Console this September. All in all, the latter half of 2017 is shaping up to be a good one for Pokemon fans.

Pokemon Ultra Sun and Pokemon Ultra Moon are currently set to release for the Nintendo 3DS on November 17, 2017.
