A new series of Pokemon apparel has launched on the Pokemon Center online store, with a set of Christmas-themed sweaters that depict some fan-favorite creatures. This new lineup of Pokemon merch might be coming a little early for the Holiday Season, but the "Ugly Christmas Sweater" style is sure to be fashionable among fans once the winter months roll around.
These new sweaters have mostly appeared as a quietly added set for the Pokemon Center store, as neither the Pokemon Company nor the store itself has really made any wide announcements online. That being said, it would seem that as Pokemon fans discover the collection, many items appear to already be selling out at the time of this writing.
The whole collection of sweaters includes a number of stunning recreations of the Pokemon creatures, with fan-favorites such as Pikachu, Vulpix, and Psyduck appearing across several designs. One particular piece of Pikachu-themed clothing has especially caught the attention of many fans, with its vibrant colors and cheery image of the Pokemon playing with a snowman on the front. However, not every single one of these pieces of apparel fits perfectly into the "Ugly Christmas Sweater" template, such as the two new Psyduck sweaters that forgo the familiar Holiday borders for more unique designs.
In total, there appears to be six new sweaters available for purchase on the Pokemon Center store, all priced at $49.99 for shoppers in the United States. This joins a collection of older designs that previously included Pokemon such as Snorlax, Greedent, and Stantler. Similarly, the online store also sells several Halloween-themed clothes that make use of a similar "Ugly Sweater" design, but with ghost Pokemon like Gengar. Between these older and newer selections, the online store has a descent variety to choose from for either fans looking to rock new Pokemon merch or those looking for a Holiday gift.
The Pokemon franchise isn't exactly new to selling merchandise at this point. So, it's little surprise that these types of products are starting to show up online, or even in stores, right now as sellers start moving from Halloween to the Holiday Season. For the Pokemon designs themselves, many of the new options are standouts among the whole collection available on the Pokemon Center website. Anyone looking for a new "Ugly Sweater" this year might want to check this new lineup before they start selling out of every design in every size.
