As popular as Pokemon games are, the series' ongoing anime is as iconic. Pokemon Journeys will be returning soon after a hiatus due to Japan's state of emergency, but the YouTube series Pokemon: Twilight Wings based on Pokemon Sword and Shield will also be posting a new episode on June 4 according to the Pokemon Twitter account.
This episode will center around Oleana, secretary to Chairman Rose of the Galar Pokemon League, as she "works to keep Galar Running smoothly." The promotional image for the episode also showcases Galarian Ponyta, though it's unclear whether the monster will play a prominent role.
Each of the four episodes of Twilight Wings released thus far has focused on a different character from Pokemon Sword and Shield, most recently the Water-type Gym Leader Nessa. It has been a largely successful companion series to the Nintendo Switch games.
Despite this success, some fans have taken issues with previous Twilight Wings episodes. For example, the Pokemon Twitter account apologized for featuring Dewgong in its Nessa episode because Dewgong does not appear in Galar's National Dex.
A new episode of Pokemon: Twilight Wings will be available on YouTube June 4.
