The highly-anticipated Pokemon-like MMO Temtem has officially launched in Early Access. As befits an Early Access game, however, Temtem's launch hasn't exactly been smooth. Temtem players have reported a wide range of technical issues with the game that have prevented many players from even playing the game despite their best efforts. Temtem's developers have acknowledged the ongoing issues and are currently working to fix them.

The list of problems in Temtem isn't short, as there's no single issue that's causing the most trouble in-game. To start, there are login queues that prevent all players from immediately playing. Temtem also freezes in a variety of different ways, including when players open doors or when they pick up or open items. Having the game crash, followed by a long queue, is compounding frustrations.

Temtem's developer Crema has responded to players' ongoing feedback in a Twitter message, stating that, "We haven't leave you alone and we're still working on the fix. Hold on a little longer and don't try to open items!" A follow-up response says that the team is understanding of player frustrations and that, "We're going to try to solve the issue as quick as possible." They also encourage players to refund through Steam if they're unwilling to wait, and while English isn't the team's first language, it's clear they're trying to be as communicative as possible.

As of today, just a full day after Temtem's launch, Crema has issued three different patches for the game in an effort to solve its various issues. The first issue address lag when trying to use in-game cosmetics, the second was a robust improvement on client-server communication, and the third focused on a bug preventing players from playing co-op. Considering Temtem's pushed three updates in its first day, it's clear the studio is dedicated to fixing all ongoing issues as fast as possible. Temtem players will be catching Temtems with ease soon enough.

While Temtem may be having some launch issues, that isn't preventing players from being positive about what gameplay they have experienced. Temtem currently has just under 2,900 reviews on Steam and is maintaining a "Very Positive" ratio. Over 82% of reviewers have left positive reviews. Players are excited about what Temtem is offering, as it's essentially the Pokemon MMO that they've been wanting for years. That excitement will hopefully shine when Temtem eventually exits Early Access.

Temtem is available now on PC in Early Access.
