A Pokemon fan drew amazing artwork featuring Jessie and James from Team Rocket. The franchise's animated series introduced a good number of original characters, some of whom have appeared in the games. The Pokemon anime provided gamers with plenty of faces to fall in love with that they may not have gotten from the RPGs.
Some of the main characters that were introduced in the series' anime were the Team Rocket Trio. The trio consisted of Jessie, James, Meowth, and their pocket monsters, who made appearances in games such as Pokemon Yellow and Pokemon GO. One gamer decided to draw the group together, producing an impressive piece showcasing the characters.
A Reddit user named jamieartyboy posted an image featuring the Team Rocket Trio. The drawing shows Jessie, James, Meowth, with the two trainers holding Pokeballs. In the background are three of the Pokemon that the two owned in their travels: Koffing, Ekans, and Wobbuffet. In the corner of the piece is the Team Rocket logo, which has a bit of shine added to it. The work makes good use of color, especially when it comes to the eyes of Jessie, James, and Meowth. The drawing looks great and shows some love to characters that have been a part of the Pokemon anime since its start.
A number of Redditors have enjoyed the piece featuring the Team Rocket Trio, as they have gotten the post featuring the drawing to over 13,000 upvotes. Some users have stated that the artwork reminds them of the older style that the Pokemon series had years ago and that they really loved the coloring. Many wished that they could draw as well as jamieartyboy, who did reveal that more art is on the way. The piece is awesome and can easily bring back memories to those who grew up watching the anime.
While many characters from the Pokemon games did make their way into the franchise's animated series, many episodes featured original cast members that Ash and Pikachu would meet and often times aid. The Team Rocket Trio were constantly featured throughout the anime and were given intricate backstories that helped flesh them out. Similar to Ash, Jessie and James cycled through various Pokemon, including Lickitung, Victreebel, and more. The piece that jamieartyboy made was a nice tribute to the characters, especially since they were such a core part of the anime throughout its whole run. With a new animated series beginning later this year, it shall be seen if antagonists such as Jessie and James will be present for the new protagonists.
