Thanks to work of artistic fans, Pokemon's Team Rocket has crossed over with Among Us in an adorable way. Jessie, James, Meowth, and Wobbuffet get in on the intergalactic action of Among Us thanks to some new images posted online last week.

Although Among Us rewards stealthy imposters with a clear path to victory, it's often easy for imposters to mess up and expose themselves. Fans of the Pokemon anime know that Team Rocket's Jessie and James try and fail at stealth over and over in a similar way. Although their goal is usually just to steal a single Pikachu from Ash Ketchum, Jessie and James approach this task with gusto, frequently dawning disguises to get close.

Twitter user Cruz02Art envisions Jessie, James, Meowth, and Wobbuffet as different characters from Among Us. The color choices for their suits and characters make sense, and the art details how each of the four would behave in an actual game of Among Us. Amusingly, the only characters who seem to be effective task-completing crewmates are James and Wobbuffet. Part of this may have to do with the fact Wobbuffet cannot speak human languages, making it easy to keep a low profile.

Some may be surprised by the decision to clarify that James is a superb Among Us player. However, this shouldn't be too shocking. Fans often imagine Jessie and James as bumbling and ineffective, but in games like Pokemon: Let's Go, Pikachu!, Jessie and James are powerful foes and legitimate threats.

The fan art doesn't bring Giovanni into the mix. In both the anime and the games, the Team Rocket head is a sadistic and highly-competent criminal who has no problem intimidating others into getting what he wants. Thus, it's not hard to see him dominating Among Us as an imposter. Still, given the game version of Giovanni was most recently seen forming a dimension-hopping gang known as Team Rainbow Rocket, he presumably has bigger aspirations.

As fun as it might be to add to Among Us, the game provides more backstory than many might believe. Although in-game Among Us character lore is scarce, it suggests that the red player character may be the canon imposter, and that some of the other characters are related. Few people would likely use this as a way to discourage clever character crossovers, but it suggests that the game might already have a compelling story beneath the surface.

Among Us is available now on Mobile and PC.
