When the Pokemon Sword and Shield Expansion Pass was originally announced, many fans were delighted by the incoming swaths of new and old Pokemon alike. Many fans were also delighted to discover that Regieleki and Regidrago were entirely new Pokemon, rather than regional variants of the existing Legendary Titans.

These two new titans make for six total "Regi" Pokemon, including the four original Hoenn Legendaries, Regice, Regirock, Registeel, and Regigigas. To catch these recent arrivals, Pokemon Sword and Shield Trainers will have to solve a puzzle, and make a tough decision.

It's only fair to kick-off this guide with the unfortunate news: Pokemon Trainers must choose between Regieleki and Regidrago. Although a player can create a new save file and go through the game again, or trade with friends, only one of the two new Legendary Galarian Titans is available to each player. That being said, Regieleki and Regidrago aren't particularly difficult to find, especially by the time players have met the necessary prerequisites.

As many are starting to learn, each of the Legendary Hoenn Titans in Crown Tundra rests in a temple, guarded by a puzzle. Players must solve each titan's puzzle to gain entry to its temple and capture it (a reference to the original Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire games), and the situation is no different for their new Galarian cousins.

Regieleki and Regidrago reside together in a temple found at the Crown Tundra's Three-Point Pass. If a player interacts with the temple doors, the game will display a cryptic message (this temple's puzzle): "When you gather the three giants, the door of destiny shall be opened."  Players who have already managed to capture the crystalline Regice, or any of its siblings, will quickly understand that these instructions reference the original "Regi" trio. This time though, players won't be meeting Regigigas.

Pokemon Trainers will need to approach the temple at Three-Point Pass with Regice, Regirock, and Registeel as party members. Only then will the doors to Regieleki and Regidrago open, presenting players with one final puzzle. Much like in the other Pokemon titans' temples, Trainers will have to complete a short light panel puzzle to draw out Regieleki or Regidrago.

To select a titan, players will have to make the light panels match the titan's distinct arrangement of "dots." Those hoping to meet the pure Electric Regieleki are essentially aiming for a whisker shape (>-<), where as those in search of the Dragon-type Regidrago should form an elongated "Y" shape with the lights. (See images of Regieleki and Regidrago above for reference).

Pokemon Sword and Shield, and The Isle of Armor and Crown Tundra DLC Expansion Passes, are available now on Switch.
