Pokemon fans may be mostly focused on the upcoming Pokemon Scarlet and Violet than anything else, but it's fair to say that there are still many who are enjoying their Galar region adventures in Pokemon Sword and Shield. Pokemon Sword and Shield is still worthwhile for Pokemon players to check out thanks to special distribution events that give fans the chance to add special Pokemon to their collection.

The latest Pokemon Sword and Shield distribution event is all about Ash Ketchum's team of Pokemon from the anime. Special mystery gift codes are being given out so Pokemon Sword and Shield players can recreate Ash's team in-game. The first such Pokemon released as part of this event was Ash's Dracovish, but now that code has expired, and a new one is available that lets players claim Ash's Dragonite for their collection. The code for Ash's Dragonite is as follows: UM1N0KESH1N.

To redeem a mystery gift code in Pokemon Sword and Shield, players simply need to go to the Mystery Gift section in the pause menu. After inputting the code, players will have Ash's Dragonite in their team. Like Ash's Dracovish and the other Pokemon that are being given away as part of this Pokemon Sword and Shield distribution event, this Dragonite is level 80, so it should be a great addition to anyone's Pokemon team.

Ash's Dragonite in Pokemon Sword and Shield has Jolly nature and the Inner Focus ability. As for its moves, it knows Dragon Claw, Draco Meteor, Hurricane, and Dragon Dance, all of which should prove plenty useful to Pokemon Sword and Shield players. Fans can look forward to the rest of Ash's Pokemon being added to Pokemon Sword and Shield in the weeks ahead, though they will have their own codes players will need to input to collect them.

The codes are still a mystery at this point, but on September 2, Pokemon Sword and Shield gamers can look forward to Ash's Gengar being added to the game, while Sirfetch'd will be added on September 9. The final Pokemon added as part of this Pokemon Sword and Shield distribution event is Lucario, who will be added to the lineup on September 16. Pokemon Sword and Shield players will have a limited time to claim the Pokemon for their own, so Pokemon fans should be sure to use the codes as soon as possible.

Pokemon Sword and Shield are out now, exclusively for the Nintendo Switch.
