Though some Everstones can be found in random locations as items on the ground in Pokemon Sword and Pokemon Shield, such as at Turffield Stadium, some players may be looking to get a lot at once so they don't need to cancel each time an evolution pops up. Finding the locations of a specific Pokemon in abundance will give the player an easy opportunity to farm them in bulk, with the right steps.
Everstones have been around since the second generation of Pokemon games. It's a type of held item that prevents the Pokemon from evolving, in case the trainer wants to keep them at their current evolution. Since Pokemon Black 2 and White 2, Everstones are used often when breeding Pokemon, because it guarantees that the bred Pokemon will be guaranteed to take on the stats of the parent Pokemon holding the stone.
For those looking to grab many Everstones quickly, or without paying 500 W to the Digging Duo brothers, all they have to do is find Roggenrola, a rock-type Pokemon that has a 50% chance of holding an Everstone. With the right moves, the player can obtain several Everstones in one run at either one of these locations.
Galar Mine
Before heading out, make sure to equip a Pokemon that has the move "Thief," such as Thievul or Mightyena. Alternatively, Thief can be purchased as TM23 from Hammerlocke for 10,000 Pokemon Dollars. Galar Mine is located on the west end of the map between Routes 3 and 4 in Pokemon Sword and Shield. Here, the Roggenrola that spawn will be as low as level 11, so the player's Pokemon won't need to be at a high level to battle or catch the rock-type Pokemon.
The player will likely see Roggenrola sauntering about. After commencing a battle with one using a Pokemon equipped with the Thief ability, simply use that move in battle. It both attacks the opponent Pokemon as well as steals its held item, which in Roggenrola's case, has a 50% chance to be an Everstone. Through this method, it should only take the player minutes to find a Roggenrola holding an Everstone.
Motostoke
Another great location to find an abundance of Roggenrola is outside Motostoke. Fly to the fast-travel point at Motostoke's Pokemon Center and continue all the way to the right, passing the stadium in a straight line to the Motostoke Outskirts to the east. Across the bridge, the Roggenrola have a 30% chance to spawn in the patches of grass and the surrounding area, but keep in mind that they are a slightly higher level here, between 21 and 24.
If the player can't easily get their hands on the Thief move, purchase some Poke Balls, because catching the Roggenrola will also capture its held item, but it may be less convenient than using the Thief attack in battle.
