Now that players around the globe are knee-deep in Pokemon Sword and Shield, the locations of certain Pokemon, items, and methods for certain evolutions like Feebas to Milotic are finally becoming easier to find. Unsurprisingly, Galar has introduced a lot of new and interesting Pokemon, who require just as many new and interesting ways to evolve.

However, Eevee takes the cake when it comes to evolution. Eevee is the Pokemon that has the most branching evolutions, meaning it has the most potential and intrigue surrounding its many evolutions as well. Thankfully, finding Eevee in Pokemon Sword and Shield is not difficult in the slightest.

Where to Find Eevee

Players can get a hold of their own Eevee fairly early in the main game of Sword and Shield. Eevee appears as an overworld encounter, meaning it can be seen running around in the golden grass on Route 4 right before Turffield. Eevee is a bit rare to encounter, but if players keep running around the various three patches of grass, they will encounter one eventually.

Obviously, the next step is to catch an Eevee, which is not a very difficult task, even for players that skipped the catching tutorial. Considering this is before the first gym and the Eevees in question are only around level 15, any Pokeball should do just find.

About Eevee and its Evolutions

As mentioned before, Eevee is a Pokemon of possibility. Eevee has eight possible evolutions, some using an evolution stone, some evolving during certain times of day, and some evolve depending on how friendly they are to their trainer. Eevee is interesting because of the many different types that it can evolve into and the stats and movesets that go along with its types.

Interestingly, Eevee is not the only evolution that can be found in the wild. If players are interested in getting a select evolution at an extremely high level, each and every eeveelution can found in the late-game area called the Lake of Outrage during specific weather conditions. Additionally, players can just evolve their Eevee naturally, though evolutions like Umbreon, Espeon and Sylveon can be a bit tricky.

With those helpful suggestions, players can try to build there own team of eeveelutions, breed for a shiny Eevee, or just catch an Eevee and give it an Everstone to keep it the same forever.

Pokemon Sword and Shield is out now exclusively for the Nintendo Switch.
