Eevee is one of the most popular Pokemon out there, and it’s another mascot of the Pokemon franchise alongside Pikachu. The thing that makes Eevee so popular is its sheer number of evolutions. Eevee is the only Pokemon in existence that can evolve into eight different types of Pokemon. In the first Pokemon games, there were only three basic Eeveelutions known as Flareon, Vaporeon, and Jolteon, but newer generations introduced trainers to new evolutions for the Pokemon, which included Leafeon, Glaceon, Espeon, Umbreon, and Sylveon.

Pokemon Sword and Shield owners can easily find an Eevee in the games, but evolving it takes a bit of know-how. Some of Eevee’s special evolutions don’t evolve the same way they used to in previous games, so trainers need to learn how to evolve their Eevee in the Pokemon Sword and Shield games. Luckily, this guide will show trainers exactly how they can evolve their Eevee into any of their preferred evolutions.

Leafeon is a Grass-type Pokemon, and in previous games, it required players to bring their Eevee to a Moss Rock to evolve it into a Leafeon. However, in Pokemon Sword and Shield, all players have to do is give their Eevee a Leaf Stone to evolve it into Leafeon.

How to Evolve Eevee into Glaceon in Pokemon Sword and Shield

Similar to Leafeon, Glaceon required players to bring their Eevee to an Ice Rock to evolve it, but luckily, Pokemon Sword and Shield only require players to give their Eevee an Ice Stone to evolve it into a Glaceon.

How to Evolve Eevee into Sylveon in Pokemon Sword and Shield

Sylveon is a Fairy-type Pokemon, but it does not require any stone for the evolution. To evolve an Eevee into a Sylveon, players need to make sure that their Eevee knows a Fairy-type move; afterward they need to increase Eevee's Friendship level to three hearts and level it up to evolve it into a Sylveon. However, if the Eevee does not know a Fairy-type move, then it will not evolve into a Sylveon; instead, it might evolve into an Umbreon or Espeon depending on the time of day.

How to Evolve Eevee into Umbreon in Pokemon Sword and Shield

Umbreon is a Dark-type Pokemon and requires similar conditions as a Sylveon to evolve. Players need to increase their Eevee’s friendship level to three hearts and evolve it during night time, but trainers need to be careful because if their Eevee knows a Fairy-type move, then it will only Evolve into a Sylveon regardless of night or day. To delete a move, players can visit the NPC at the left counter inside any Pokemon Center in the game.
