Many Pokemon fans are excited to see what the upcoming Crown Tundra DLC will bring to the main game. While there was a recent leak listing Pokemon included in the DLC, new developments seems to confirm one of the Pokemon of the list will be introduced to Pokemon Sword and Shield when the additional content is released.

When the Isle of Armor DLC was first released, some dataminers discovered Dragonite in the files for the next bundle of additional content for Pokemon Sword and Shield, leading them to believe that the game would likely include this iconic Dragon-type Pokemon. However, another new detail has come to light that many people to believe that it is confirmed to be coming with Crown Tundra DLC.

Since Pokemon Sword and Shield likely won't be getting a third game like installments of previous generations have, the game will instead have an Expansion Pass, for which two DLCs have been announced. The Isle of Armor expansion brought many new Pokemon to the game, since the base game is missing some Pokemon from previous generations. In the first DLC, Kingdra was brought to the Galar region, and like all other Pokemon in the game, it came with a Pokedex entry. However, many fans find it interesting that the Pokedex entry mentions Dragonite. While this may not seem significant, Game Freak usually includes other Pokemon in a Pokedex entry if both Pokemon could encounter each other in the game. Since Dragonite can't currently be encountered in the Gen 8 game, it stands to reason that this Dragon-type will be coming with Crown Tundra DLC so it can fit in with this lore.

This isn't the only reason that many believe that Dragonite will be coming with this latest bundle of additional content. A recent leak disclosed that the Dragon-type Pokemon and its evolutionary line will be exclusive to Pokemon Shield, while Pokemon Sword will get Garchomp and its pre-evolved forms in its place. Since these leaks are not confirmed by Nintendo, the hint that has been placed into the game through this Pokedex entry has solidified it in the minds of many fans.

While fans don't know exactly when they will be able to play through the Crown Tundra DLC content for themselves, they are looking forward to some of their favorite Dragon-type Pokemon being introduced to the Galar region. There are plenty of other excitements waiting for players with the additional content that Nintendo will be bringing to fans.
