Pokemon Sword and Shield are due out in a couple of months, with players able to pre-order the games now. As it so happens, a new Pokemon Sword and Shield pre-order bonus has been revealed to entice consumers into doing just that, in the form of a figurine that features the Pokemon Sword and Shield starter Pokemon Grookey, Scorbunny, and Sobble. But before fans rush out to pre-order the game to get their hands on the figurine, they should note that there's a catch.

At the time of this writing, this particular Pokemon Sword and Shield pre-order bonus has only been confirmed for Japan when it comes to the standard edition of the games. Those in the UK can get the figurine if they pre-order the Dual Edition that comes with both Pokemon Sword and Shield in one package (this version also comes with DLC tracksuits and a limited edition steel case with the cover art legendary Pokemon on it). It's unclear if the figurines will be available to those living in the US at all.

With there still being some time before the Pokemon Sword and Shield release date, it stands to reason that this pre-order bonus figurine could very well be announced for the standard versions of the games in other territories as well. However, that hasn't happened at the time of this writing, so fans should keep their expectations in check.

Much of the Pokemon Sword and Shield marketing has focused on the new starter Pokemon, with this figurine being just the latest example of that. Despite this, Nintendo has been keeping a tight lid on the Pokemon Sword and Shield starter evolutions. Nothing official on what the Pokemon Sword and Shield starter Pokemon evolve into has been revealed just yet, but there have been some leaks that may give fans a good idea of what to expect.

According to the most reliable Pokemon Sword and Shield leak, Grookey will evolve into a large gorilla with a drum, whereas Scorbunny will evolve into a pure fire-type called Raboot, but will be able to learn fighting-type moves. Sobble, meanwhile, will evolve into Sizzle, and then finally Intelleon, with a spy theme.

Everything else about that Pokemon Sword and Shield leak has been proven accurate so far, it's quite likely that the info about the starter Pokemon evolutions is real, too. However, we will need to wait for Nintendo to reveal more information to be sure.

Pokemon Sword and Shield launch on November 15, exclusively for the Nintendo Switch.
