A new Japanese-language trailer for Pokemon Sword and Shield recently dropped, revealing some brand new Galar region Pokemon that players will be able to catch, as well as confirming some previously-leaked details about the games. It has been confirmed that the games will feature Gigantamaxing, a detail that was part of a previous leak that potentially legitimizes the rest of that leak.

Gigantamaxing (not to be confused with Dynamaxing) not only grows Pokemon to extreme heights, but it also changes their appearance. The feature was first leaked by an anonymous 4chan user who posted a list of details on Pokemon Sword and Shield on the forum. Now that Gigantamaxing has been confirmed, it makes the rest of the leak easier to believe, like the details on the Pokemon Sword and Shield starter evolutions.

According to the leaker, Scorbunny will have a middle evolution called Raboot that will be able to learn fighting-type moves. However, even though Scorbunny will be able to learn fighting-type moves, it will reportedly not become a dual fighting/fire-type Pokemon like many fire starters have in the past. The leaker did not know the name of Scorbunny's final evolution.

The leaker did mention the names of Sobble's evolutions in Pokemon Sword and Shield. If the leak is to be believed, Sobble will evolve to Sizzile, and then finally to Intelleon. Sobble's evolution line will reportedly be spy-themed, but will stick to being a pure water-type throughout.

Finally, the leaker didn't reveal the names of Grookey's evolutions, but they did mention what Grookey's final evolution will look like. Assuming the leaker is correct, Grookey will evolve into a giant gorilla armed with a wood drum.

We still recommend players take this news with a grain of salt. Even though some of the leaked details have been confirmed, it's always possible that not all of the information is accurate. As we near the games' November release, though, we should have a better idea if the rest of the Pokemon Sword and Shield leak is true, too, like this information on the starters and if Farfetch'd has an evolution.

Pokemon Sword and Shield will launch on November 15, exclusively for the Nintendo Switch.
