Pokemon Sword and Shield’s much anticipated Isle of Armor DLC arrived last week, and many players who have already finished it are not happy about its length.

The first of two pieces of DLC included in Pokemon’s first-ever Expansion Pass, the Isle of Armor will allow trainers to fly to this new island and embark on a martial arts-themed journey with the new Pokemon, Kubfu. The DLC also includes a Dojo with some new characters, new gigantamax forms, new clothes, and some new places to battle.

But players are finding that the above is about all that is included in the DLC. Players on Twitter and elsewhere are claiming that the story-related content of the DLC can be completed in 2-4 hours. This makes the length of the Isle of Armor about a tenth as long as the campaign of Pokemon Sword and Pokemon Shield, which can be completed in 20-40 hours.

Players were hoping for more from the Isle of Armor and are upset, especially considering that this is supposedly one half of the $30 Expansion Pass that players had to buy in order to play the DLC. This is also leading them to wonder if the second half, the Crown Tundra, will suffer the same fate.

Hopefully, the shortness of this DLC is made up for by the size of the Crown Tundra. Usually, the largest expansions to video games are the ones released later on, as the developer has had more time to work on them after releasing the main game. The Crown Tundra already looks to have more new Pokemon, with Galarian forms of the legendary bird trio and two new Regis in the form of Regidrago and Regieleki already confirmed to be in the DLC.

Fans wondering what they will get with the Crown Tundra will have to wait until later this year, as it is currently slated for a “fall” release.

In the meantime, Pokemon fans should be looking forward to another potentially exciting Pokemon announcement slated for Wednesday, June 24. This new announcement will be following up with this past week’s announcements of a new Pokemon Snap and the adorable Pokemon Smile.

Pokemon Sword and Pokemon Shield are available now for Nintendo Switch.
