We know that new Pokemon games are coming to the Nintendo Switch, but we don't have many details beyond that. However, a new rumor is making the rounds that may have potentially revealed the titles for the new Pokemon games that are in development for Nintendo's latest console.

According to the rumor, Pokemon for the Nintendo Switch will be called Pokemon Let's Go Pikachu and Let's Go Eevee. Apparently the games will be a remake of Pokemon Yellow, with Pikachu as the starter in one game and Eevee as the starter in the other. This would mirror Pokemon Yellow's starter Pokemon, which saw the player character with Pikachu and their rival with Eevee.

Unfortunately for fans who may be intrigued by this concept, or fortunately for those who don't like the idea, this rumor doesn't appear to have much merit. It seems to stem from a 4chan post from April 1st, and has picked up steam recently thanks to a Twitter post from Game Freak's Junichi Masuda, which included plush dolls of Pikachu and Eevee.

Another reason why people are buying into this latest rumor surrounding Pokemon on the Switch is a supposed "leaked" screenshot of the game that was posted on Twitter a few months ago. This image sees a Pokemon trainer riding on the back of Lapras, with what appears to be an Eevee sitting on their head. It's possible that this image is completely fake, but it's easy to see how it could lead some people to believe that Pokemon for Switch will be Let's Go Pikachu and Let's Go Eevee as rumored.

As of the time of this writing, no one involved with Pokemon for the Switch has confirmed much about the game, so it's important to take these rumors with a massive grain of salt. There have been a number of rumors and supposed "leaks" about Pokemon on Switch since it was announced, so fans shouldn't buy into any of it until we have official information from Game Freak or Nintendo.

Luckily, official information could be coming sooner rather than later. According to frequent Nintendo news leaker Emily Rogers, Pokemon on Switch will be revealed before the end of the month, so fans may not even have to wait until E3 to find out more.
