Earlier this week. Pokemon Sun and Moon officially began the role-playing games’ fifth global mission called “Hatch a Lot of Eggs!”, with the goal for all participants to hit the sum total of hatching 200,000 eggs in the titles. Everyone who contributes to this and other global missions will be eligible for Festival Coins, while Pokemon Global Link members can earn even greater rewards when they participate.
For those looking to get in on the action, fans can visit Festival Plaza to speak to the receptionist in the castle, and she will let players join the global mission, guaranteeing that the any of their eggs that get hatched will count toward the fifth global mission. After that, Pokemon Sun and Moon players will need to head on over to Paniola Ranch to start discovering eggs in the games.
When Pokemon Sun and Moon players leave Pokemon at the Pokemon Nursery at Paniola Ranch on Akala Island, they will be able to find some eggs. The Pokemon Breeder outside the Nursery will discover eggs if fans leave a male and female Pokemon from the same egg group, or if they leave a male or female Pokemon with a Ditto.
As soon as Pokemon Sun and Moon fans acquire an egg, hatching it is quite easy, as players will simply need to walk around with it until it hatches. For a much quicker egg-hatching solution, fans should keep a Pokemon with either the Flame Body or Magma Armor Ability in their party and the egg will hatch twice as fast.
If Pokemon Sun and Moon‘s fifth global mission’s goal of 200,000 hatched eggs is reached, Pokemon Global Link members who participate will earn 4,000 Festival Coins, while Trainers unregistered to the PGL will earn 2,000 Festival Coins. Should the goal be a bust, however, the participation prize will be 400 Festival Coins for PGL members, and 200 Festival Coins for Trainers not in the PGL.
Pokemon Sun and Moon‘s fifth global mission has a bonus goal of 400,000 hatched eggs giving Pokemon Global Link members a Love Ball. That said, even if none of the global mission goals are met, PGL members who contribute at least three hatched eggs are to be given five Rare Candies. Of course, considering the fact players have failed so many times in the past when it comes to global missions, it will be interesting to see if the fifth one can actually reach its goals.
Pokemon Sun and Moon are available now for Nintendo 2DS and 3DS, with the fifth global mission ending on April 10, 2017.
