Every Pokemon generation always introduces a new batch of gym leaders that Pokemon trainers have to fight to earn their badges. The first set that players ever had to face were the Kanto region gym leaders, likely placing these characters in a nostalgic spot within the hearts of long-time Pokemon video game fans. This is likely why The Pokemon Company has made Pokemon TCG cards that feature these gym leaders and their Pokemon. Now, a fan has created an exquisite silver pendant designed after Sabrina's Gengar card.

Though Saffron gym leader Sabrina has made appearances in many Pokemon video games throughout the years, her Gengar seems to only show up in the Pokemon TCG Gym Heroes expansion. In the Pokemon animated series, Sabrina was gifted a Haunter by Ash Ketchum but no future updates about the Pokemon evolving into Gengar was covered in the series. However, in the card game's Gym Heroes expansion, players can evolve Sabrina's Gastly into Haunter and then Gengar.

On Reddit, user SauronChan shared a short video showing off the intricate silver necklace they made based on Sabrina's Gengar card. The pendant covered all the minute details of the card. This includes Gengar's intimidating portrait, powerful Pokemon TCG moves, the iconic design on the back of the card, and even Sabrina's profile on the lower-right portion of the item. Sabrina's Gengar card is quite controversial in the Pokemon TCG space. Most fans would likely recall that the original Japanese version's artwork was censored when it was released in English due to supposed religious reasons. Fortunately SauronChan's work featured Sabrina's Gengar card found in the card game's Gym Challenge expansion and does not feature the controversial artwork.

For fans of Pokemon TCG, seeing such an amazing wearable item based on a Pokemon card is likely something they would be interested in. The interest for the silver pendant shows in the positive comments posted on SauronChan's Reddit thread. Fellow fans were impressed by the artist's work and wondered if they had already opened a shop. One Redditor then shared a link to SauronChan's Instagram profile, where interested customers could purchase the artist's pieces.

There also a few comments regarding pieces that they wanted to see the artist produce which includes other Pokemon TCG expansion items that are part of Gym Heroes. The fanbase seems to also be interested in seeing silver pendants of the card's censored artwork version. The community will just have to wait and see if the artist decides to produce these Pokemon TCG items due to popular demand.
