Pokemon Scarlet and Violet released version update 1.3.1 to close out the month of May. The update brought a fix to some bugs that had become apparent during a recent Pokemon Scarlet and Violet battle tournament. However, Pokemon trainers holding out hope that another feature would be part of this update will be disappointed.

Last week, Pokemon Scarlet and Violet played host to new 5-star Tera raid battles against Great Tusk and Iron Treads, the version-exclusive Paradox forms of Donphan. In addition, the 7-star Tera raid against Chesnaught the Unrivaled was set to begin its second round. However, the raids were called off following some game-crashing bugs that showed up when battling Great Tusk and Iron Treads. It is currently unknown when these outstanding issues with these Tera raid battles would be addressed. But in the meantime, players that experienced an unrelated issue received some relief from Nintendo in the latest update to Pokemon Scarlet and Violet.

In Pokemon Scarlet and Violet version 1.3.1, a fix was issued to players affected by a bug that occurred during an invitation-only competition that was hosted in Japan and South Korea. This bug prevented players from exiting out of the battle menus and prevented them from quickly requesting rematches with their opponents. This prevented the Pokemon World Championship Qualifier Tournaments in these regions from continuing smoothly, and so affected players received emails with further details. The affected tournaments will resume over the weekend, including any necessary rematches and do-overs that need to take place to ensure a fair competition. However, the full patch notes for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet version 1.3.1 were not published by Nintendo at the time of writing.

That said, Pokemon Scarlet and Violet players will not find any Pokemon Home updates in this patch. While the long-awaited Pokemon Home 3.00 update was originally slated to come out this week, it was stated that there was a mix-up in communications between the various international branches concerning when precisely Pokemon Scarlet and Violet compatibility would be added. At the time of writing, there is no timetable for when the Pokemon Home update will arrive, but Pokemon reassured trainers that the update was almost ready for release.

In addition, Pokemon Scarlet and Violet players will have to remain patient as the next Tera raid battles may have been delayed as a result of the aforementioned issues with last week's raids.

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet are available now for Nintendo Switch.
