A particular tip will help players use sandwiches to fill their Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Pokedex and assist them in finding shiny Pokemon in the wild more consistently. Within Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, the process of making sandwiches replaces past mechanics such as the Poke Radar, but some players are finding sandwich-making difficult to get the hang of.

By making a sandwich and filling it with particular ingredients, many of which are obtained through completing Tera Raids, Pokemon Scarlet and Violet players can increase their chances of finding Pokemon of a particular type in the wild or, by using new item Herba Mystica in a sandwich, can increase their odds of encountering shiny Pokemon. However, many players find the process both tiring and difficult, struggling to keep the ingredients inside the sandwich when putting the top on and getting frustrated when it all comes tumbling down.

However, Reddit user Fynzou recently took to the platform to let struggling players know that they do not actually have to carefully place the second loaf of bread atop the sandwich in order to finish it; they can instead simply drop it nowhere near the sandwich and not have to risk dropping any ingredients. Doing this will not have any unwanted impact on the effectiveness of the sandwich, but will save players from possibly having to remake it, should they knock it over when trying to place the final loaf on top of it. This unintended feature, though beneficial, is just another in a long line of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet glitches.

When dropped, the top of the sandwich will disappear but will not impact the overall sandwich powers awarded from creating it. This small tip is particularly useful for saving Pokemon Scarlet and Violet players time, as each sandwich made will obviously need to include the two loaves of bread provided by default. Players should remember, however, that the bottom of the sandwich still needs to consist of bread, even if the top layer can be discarded. Utilizing this advice will allow players to create stronger sandwiches with ease and have better chances at summoning the strongest Pokemon in Paldea.

Though the sandwiches of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet have roots in Spanish culture, many simply want to make them as quickly as possible and get on with hunting for rare Pokemon across Paldea. Despite there being a wide array of different sandwiches, all of which provide different benefits, this small tip is useful across the board and speeds up an otherwise painful process.

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet are available now, exclusively for the Nintendo Switch.
