In Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, players will see a book detailing past expeditions into Area Zero (or so it seems to be named, the giant crater in the middle of Paldea), and it lists creatures known as Paradox Pokemon. These creatures are not supposed to exist, but also resemble ancient forms for some Pokemon (in Scarlet) and future forms for others (in Violet). Because of the recent ROM leak of Pokemon, fans now know what every Paradox Pokemon is.

Of course, many fans may want to avoid leaks going into Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, and it should be noted that the contents of this book appear to be MAJOR SPOILERS, especially for Pokemon that won't even be in the game at launch. According to prior, reliable leaks, Pokemon Scarlet and Violet will feature DLC that expands on the Paradox Pokemon included in this book, which includes (but are not available at launch) a Paradox form of Suicune and Virizion. The third legendary apparently appears in this book as well, though it is not expected to appear in the base game.

As shared by CentroLeaks, the expedition describes "an enigmatic figure" at the bottom of the pit. The writer questions if this thing was a Pokemon or if it was alive, describing it as a shell of multiple hexagonal plates, jewel-like glitter, and a disc-like shape. It appears the third legendary in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet is some form of strange Objectmon, with the image perhaps suggesting this shell/egg-like structure could be quite huge. Based on what's known so far about the book, it seems that this legendary plays some major role with Paradox Pokemon, similar to how Eternatus was responsible for Dynamaxing/Gigantamaxing in Scarlet and Violet. What's perhaps most interesting is that it is supposedly locked to Pokemon Scarlet and Violet DLC. This means that the entire mystery of the Paradox Pokemon may not be resolved in the main storylines of the base game, instead focusing on perhaps the fallout or introduction of Paradox Pokemon. It's unknown at this time, but diving deeper into Area Zero in DLC makes a lot of sense.

Plus, more content coming to Pokemon Scarlet and Violet beyond launch will certainly be welcome by fans. Beyond these three Paradox Pokemon, more could be introduced while other new Pokemon, new Evolutions, and old Pokemon could be brought into the main game. For now, though, fans will just have to sit tight and see what the plan post-launch is.

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet release November 18 for Nintendo Switch.
