The world of Pokemon was introduced to the new starting line of the next generation back in February, and fans immediately fell in love with all three starters. Pokemon Scarlet and Violet are both scheduled to come out in late 2022, and Pokemon trainers around the world can't wait to get their hands on one of Sprigatito, Fuecoco, or Quaxly.

The reveal of the three starter Pokemon sparked a wave of talented creators sharing their unique views on what each of the three lovable Pokemon could evolve into. Whether it's Sprigatito evolving into a Fairy-Grass type or Quaxly closely resembling Don Quixote in its final form, there are many great art pieces discoverable around the net.

On DeviantArt, a platform artists use to share their content publicly, user 12odiak shared a different approach to the three starting Pokemon with fusion entries. Fusion art in Pokemon is loved by many, as it allows an artist to design amazing and original designs while remaining true to their original counterparts. Its concept allows artists to combine two different types, sometimes ones that contradict each other, to invent Pokemon with a genuinely interesting twist. While these Pokemon won't be available in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, the attention to detail and the additions of new names and Pokedex-entry descriptions are a nice touch.

There are six designs in total — Sombraduck, Nichocado, Gatardor, Vaquack, Nivonana, and Gaturbino — each of them combining two of the three starting Pokemon. Sombraduck is a grass-water type that wears a sombrero, much like Lombre, who also happens to be a water-grass type. Nichocado, the grass-fire type, would become a first of its kind and closely resembles an avocado rather than Fuecoco's original ghost pepper appearance. Gatardor, which combines Fuecoco with Sprigatito, resembles the cat-like embodiment while maintaining its fire-type colors. Combined with a friendly face and a fiery tail, there's no question regarding how popular it would become if it came to fruition.

Vaquack, the fire duck Pokemon, closely resembles Quaxly's design but with a cowboy-firefighter look. Nivonana may be the most comical design of the six Pokemon, as its shape is that of a banana. Finally, Gaturbino, the combination of Quaxly and Sprigatito, combines the grass-type design with water-like traits, including a speedboat propeller for a tail. While fans have often re-imagined their favorite Pokemon with different types, Pokemon Scarlet and Violet would be interesting if it ever introduced a fusion mechanic, especially with the six adorable designs provided by 12odiak.
