The last Pokemon Scarlet and Violet trailer showed off new Pokemon, confirmed the new box legendaries Koraidon and Miraidon, revealed the co-op feature, and tons more. It’s not like the Pokemon community ever slowed down, but the latest trailer injected more hype into it nonetheless. And still, many Pokemon Scarlet and Violet fans want to see more.

It’s hard to boil down what fans want to see most, but more Pokemon, the evolutions of Sprigatito, Quaxly, and Fuecoco, and the region’s gimmick are all up there. In terms of Sprigatito, there have been some reliable leaks coming from Riddler Khu (one of the trustworthy leakers in the community) suggesting Pokemon Scarlet and Violet’s Sprigatito would become bipedal and a Grass/Dark-type. One new leak, not from Khu, seems to corroborate this if legit.

As seen below, a new video has surfaced online that appears to show the final evolution of Sprigatito. It seems Sprigatito would evolve and develop more fox-like features, but the green mark on its face becomes more of a mask—while it seems her arms and chest are enclosed with gloves that look like grass. It does appear to be a Grass/Dark-type akin to the other Pokemon Scarlet and Violet leak, notably, but many think this video could be a fake.

There are a couple of reasons. First, leaks live and die by their source, and the source of the video is as dubious as they come. The leak appears to have originated on 4chan before spreading to other social media platforms, and while there have been stranger things happen than a 4chan leak being true, most 'leaks' that appear there are false. Others think the Pokemon Scarlet and Violet video’s low quality, the generic animation, the low-res textures, and so on all suggest someone made this, and it’s not up to Game Freak’s level.

Finally, the last hint that this could be fake somewhat comes from Nintendo itself. As of this writing, this “leaked” video of Sprigatito has been circulating the internet for at least 24 hours, if not more. If this was legit and this was Sprigatito’s final form in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, it stands to reason the Big N would act quick and have it taken down. It has not been yet, and this could be because it is fake.

Ultimately, it’s really hard to say. It’s worth adding that this looks a lot like a Digimon and doesn’t necessarily line up with Sprigatito’s first form, but without seeing the second evolution, that’s still a random judgment call. Fans should take it with a huge grain of salt and not get too attached, as it is likely false, but again, it’s hard to say for sure what the future holds for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet’s starters.
