With the Pokemon Scarlet and Violet set coming to the Pokemon TCG, a fan pointed out an interesting detail with one of the first cards revealed for the set. According to one Redditor, one of the cards from the new set, featuring Fuecoco, showed the interior of a store that players of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet cannot see in-game.

The upcoming Pokemon Scarlet and Violet TCG set will be released in Japan next month, on March 10, with no Western release date set at the time of writing. The Fuecoco card in question is from the set titled "Triple Beat" and is featured alongside Sprigatito and Quaxly as a rare, full-art Basic Pokemon card. With Scarlet and Violet set to incorporate some significant changes to the Pokemon TCG, from the gameplay to the card design, the set appears to herald a new chapter for the card game. However, despite the updates to the card game itself, the one constant remains that the card art remains a topic for players to talk about.

On the r/PokemonScarletViolet subreddit, a user named endangeredpokemon said that the Fuecoco card from the Pokemon Scarlet and Violet TCG set depicted the interior of a Paldean supply shop, which players cannot explore within the Pokemon Scarlet and Violet games. Though players can go inside some buildings, such as the various sandwich shops, the different supply and ingredient shops are depicted as menus within the game, ergo the player cannot explore them. This marks a departure from most of the Pokemon games, as previous entries have depicted the various shops and Poke Marts as either separate explorable buildings or as part of a Pokemon Center. Though the Paldean Poke Mart is a case of the latter, the different regional shops such as Chansey Supply cannot be explored. Many fans have criticized Scarlet and Violet for not allowing them to explore the interiors of buildings, which is why this card has been getting so much attention.

The post from endangeredpokemon received over 1.3k upvotes on r/PokemonScarletViolet in just over a day. The card art itself shows the Fuecoco eating an apple while it sits comfortably in its trainer's backpack. The trainer depicted on the card is also picking out some sandwich ingredients and other items. Some of the users in the comments pointed out that the card art is reminiscent of Mercadona, which is a prominent supermarket chain in Spain and Portugal.

The reveal of the upcoming Pokemon Scarlet and Violet TCG set came as Pokemon TCG Online is preparing to shut down. This move was done to make way for Pokemon TCG Live, which is currently in beta at the time of writing. All in all, Pokemon TCG players and fans have plenty to talk about as a new generation draws near.

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet are out now, exclusively for the Nintendo Switch.
