A Pokemon fan has imagined what a Mega Evolution for Ceruledge, one of the new pocket monsters debuting in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, would look like. Mega Evolutions were introduced in Pokemon X and Y, and allowed certain creatures to change into more powerful versions of themselves for the duration of a battle. A number of Pokemon received Mega Evolutions that required them to hold a special stone in order to achieve the transformation.

Ceruledge will be introduced to Game Freak's RPGs through Pokemon Violet, and will be Fire/Ghost-Type. The pocket monster can learn Bitter Blade, which is a physical Fire-Type move that restores the user's HP by up to half the damage taken by the target. Though the Pokemon was revealed recently, one gamer has already come up with an idea for a Mega Evolution for it.

A Reddit user known as Solash1 posted their take on a Mega Evolution for Ceruledge. The artist's rendition shows the blades on the Pokemon's arms become much bigger, while the flame and spikes on its head grow out a bit. The armor on its chest is now a golden color, with a pink stone appearing in the center. Its legs are slimmer and ghostly fire now emanates out of its shoulders. The artist stated that even though the pocket monster is fairly new, they liked its design so much that they had to draw up a Mega Evolution for it. This take on Ceruledge is quite intimidating and seems to be a Pokemon that should not be taken lightly.

Solash1's Mega Evolution concept for Ceruledge has gained a number of fans. Many love the design, stating that it looks cool. Some have been asking if the Pokemon's Type would change after going through Mega Evolution, with Solash1 stating that they thought of switching its secondary Typing to Fighting or Steel, but was not sure and left it as it was.

While Pokemon Scarlet and Violet will not feature Mega Evolutions, it will still have a gimmick that can be utilized in battle through Terastal transformations. When a pocket monster undergoes this new mechanic, a crystal grows on its head, with there being a chance of the Pokemon's Typing changing, such as Pikachu becoming a Flying-Type. Players have to use a Tera Orb to take advantage of Terastallization, and can only use the feature once per battle. It is unknown if Ceruledge will gain a Type alteration through this transformation, as well as what the change would be.

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet will release on November 18 for the Nintendo Switch.
