It has been almost five full months since the reveal trailer for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet was shared on the official Pokemon YouTube channel for Pokemon Day. Pokemon Scarlet and Violet are currently among the most anticipated games of the year, and their release date was later confirmed to be this November, which has been a major tradition for most mainline games in the series. Still, the only other trailer for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet was shared a month and a half ago, and many fans have been wondering why The Pokemon Company is being so secretive about Generation 9.

One of the biggest mysteries and most important pieces of information is always the looks and the type combinations of the three starters, and for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet the types have already been leaked in the past month. As for what these Pokemon will look like when they evolve, fans could only speculate about their appearance thus far, but a new leaker has emerged online and is seemingly sharing all sorts of information and pictures.

A Twitter account dedicated to leaks about Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, called PokemonLEAKS, is allegedly in touch with a source who is playing the game and sharing details. Today, a short video about Sprigatito's final evolution and attack animation was posted by PokemonLEAKS, and while there is still a chance that the critter is fake, the design and the move in battle look similar to what has been shown so far about Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. The critter is shown in its battle pose, elegantly spinning a gown made of a huge flower, and then proceeds to use what looks like a Dark-type or Ghost-type move. Click here to see the video.

The art style for both Sprigatito's alleged evolution and its battle animations is very similar to that of Pokemon Legends: Arceus and the short in-game clips officially shared by The Pokemon Company so far. It's worth noting that another recent tweet from PokemonLEAKS was about several screenshots, which included, according to another trustworthy leaker called Riddler Khu, the pictures of both Sprigatito's and Quaxly's evolutions from the back. It seemed likely that, if true, the alleged Sprigatito leak was a picture of the Pokemon's mid-stage evolution, whereas the current video is about its final evolution.

This would also make sense based on the fact that a dancer-like evolution for Sprigatito was considered extremely likely seeing how Pokemon Scarlet and Violet's region is based on Spain, and thus there's a strong link with flamenco. Yesterday, PokemonLEAKS also discussed the alleged battle gimmick for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, which again was later partly confirmed by Riddler Khu.

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet release for Nintendo Switch on November 18, 2022.
