Because of the ROM leaking online, basically every new Pokemon in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet have now been revealed, including the highly-anticipated evolution for Bisharp. This is definitely not the way The Pokemon Company, Game Freak, or many fans wanted this to go, but on the flip side, many fans are happy to now be able to plan their team. Pokemon Scarlet and Violet fans should be careful online, should they wish to avoid these leaks.

Indeed, everything from the starters to the Paradox Pokemon for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet has leaked online, with abilities and more also surfacing. There's still plenty yet to be seen, of course, and it's unlikely this will ruin the experience for many fans as they go into launch.

Thanks to older Pokemon Scarlet and Violet leaks, fans have known that Bisharp is one of many Pokemon getting a cross-gen evo. Others include Dunsparce, Primeape, and Girafarig, with the latter's evolution the only one to be confirmed thus far. This should not be confused with traditional regional forms like Paldean Wooper or "regional fakes" like with Diglett and Tentacruel.

Either way, Pawniard will evolve into Bisharp and in some way, Bisharp will evolve into a new Pokemon called Kingambit. As seen in the image HERE, Kingambit has a more Samurai-like design with giant blades extending from its face, a giant shield on its back, and heavy gloves on its hand.

Pokemon Bisharp

Notably, it seems Kingambit sits down when in battle in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. This show of confidence is no doubt an interesting take for the Pokemon, who retains Dark- and Steel-type from Bisharp. Some fans have joked that it sits down because of the amount of steel composing its body, which is a pretty fun idea, but it's more likely to do with the "king" serving as a commander. This evolution line has always been based on Chess, with Pawniard serving as a reference to Pawns, Bisharp to a Bishop, and Kingambit to the obvious King piece. More specifically though, King's Gambit is an aggressive and surprising opening that has been described as "forcing" and "sharp," perfectly befitting the theme of the Pokemon line.

Bisharp is already a powerful Pokemon on its own, traditionally not evolving from Pawniard until level 52. The current evolution method for obtaining Kingambit is unknown in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, but no doubt many fans will be looking to obtain this new form as early as possible.
