Players taking on the Gym Challenge in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet are going to need to do quite a bit of traveling, jaunting all across the Paldea region to acquire the eight badges. One such badge is obtained from the gym in Alfornada, in the southwestern section of Paldea. Players will need to complete the gym challenge and then face off with several trainers before reaching the Gym Leader Tulip.
Pokemon Scarlet and Violet offer players a number of paths to follow and a variety of methods to navigate the world, but certain areas can be very difficult to reach initially due to a lack of options for getting over to them. There's usually at least one means of getting there, but sometimes it can prove difficult to find. This guide will show off an easy early method of reaching Alfornada without the need for any of the unlockable traversal options that make navigating and exploring a bit easier.
How to Get to Alfornada
From West Province (Area One)
Players using this route will need to head for the West Province (Area One) - Central Pokemon Center. It can be found to the west of Cortondo. From here, players will need to find a path heading west and curving around towards the south, following a cliff edge. Cortondo should be visible in the distance just before the turn and remain on the left for the rest of this section of the journey.
After reaching a lone tree at the end of the path, players should continue past it and leap down into the valley below. Head a little further south from here and leap down to the small pond, then head a little further south from there and drop again to land with a cave on the right.
Head straight through the cave and out the other side, then turn left and drop down a little further. Heading straight ahead (west) from here will lead to an elevated rocky path in South Province (Area Six). Follow the path up and around to reach another cave called "Alfornada Cavern." Just head through and take the sloped path up and around to a cave exit that deposits players right outside Alfornada.
Now that players have made it to Alfornada, the Psychic Gym, and its leader Tulip, are only a short walk away; best of luck.
