A Pokemon Scarlet and Violet player found a glitch that allowed them to battle a wild Pokemon after an unusual situation. The new games in the franchise have introduced players to Generation 9, but the first days of gameplay have been marked by several glitches, some with bizarre results like the giant player in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet.Pokemon Scarlet and Violet introduce players to the new Paldea region in an open-world game with perfectly connected areas. In addition to the classic journey of capturing Pokemon, facing gym leaders, and becoming a Pokemon Master, Pokemon Scarlet and Violet players can go to school. If the player has Pokemon Scarlet, the character will be a student at Naranja Academy. If the player has Pokemon Violet, the character will be a student of Uva Academy. In the video posted by the player, their character is standing near of a mountain cliff. With a flick of the game's camera said Pokemon is seen, and although the player is quite far away, they throw a Poke Ball and get a surprise: the game teleports the character close to the wild Pokemon and starts a battle. The video reveals that the monster is Toxel, a small quadruped of the electric/poison type that has a purple body and a lizard-like appearance. The encounter with Toxel adds to the long list of unexpected situations in the game, such as falling off the map in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet.

The Pokemon Scarlet and Violet glitches are going viral on Twitter for creating a variety of situations. Some players have had their characters unintentionally twitching or sliding during dialogues. In other cases, players have managed to walk through doors, find Pokemon stuck in walls, and have seen parts of the game that were not supposed to be seen because of problems with the game's camera. Another player of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet saw their mount disappear.

It is not uncommon for the first days of a new game to be marked by bugs and glitches. While players of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet are using Twitter to register their dissatisfaction with these and other problems, such as the game's performance, others are taking the situation quite humorously. The result has been a series of videos with many comments, likes, and retweets. Although the Pokemon community is highly critical, Pokemon Scarlet and Violet have broken a franchise record, showing that Pikachu and friends still entertain many players.
