Pokemon Scarlet and Violet’s starters have been rather popular since the reveal. While some starters are generally not as popular as others, there has been a ton of love shown to Fuecoco, Sprigatito, and Quaxly—and it’s worth mentioning how some Pokemon Scarlet and Violet leaks tie them together in Spanish mythology.

What’s going to be the ultimate tell of their popularity, though, will be their second and final forms. It should be noted that these reveals could be some time away, as Pokemon Scarlet and Violet have only shown five new non-starter Pokemon. It likely won’t be the next trailer/reveal, but perhaps the one after that when fans see the second form. The third form of each Starter may not be properly revealed ahead of launch, but no matter what, this gives fans more time to come up with their own ideas.

Speculating on their types and designing personal versions of the evolutions for Sprigatito, Fuecoco, and Quaxly is a bonafide pastime while waiting for more Pokemon Scarlet and Violet news. Now, one Reddit user known as PaleAd6109 has taken a few swings at what Fuecoco’s final form could look like (among other designs).

The one seen above sees Fuecoco retain their body shape, keeping the bipedal draconian shape. Their face becomes a solid mask, while their body adopts a more Ghost-type like black and red design. Some users believe that this gives off second-form vibes, although PaleAd intended for it to be a final form. Notably, it does seem to match one of the potential body types for Fuecoco, as hinted by Riddler Khu—a known leaker in the community.

The second, seen above, embraces the crocodile aspects of Fuecoco’s design—seeing it become quadrupedal. It’s worth noting that this is the second potential body type for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet’s Fuecoco, according to Khu. This design from PaleAd comes is more colorful and wispy, yet retains a mask-like facial design—something common among Fuecoco designs.

Many think that Fuecoco will end up being a Fire/Ghost-type, although it should be noted that nothing has been confirmed by Game Freak yet. This is due to potential associations with a Ghost Pepper, among a few other ideas. Hopefully, Game Freak will reveal more in the coming weeks, as the release is only a few months away. If Fuecoco’s second form is revealed anytime soon, it stands to reason more fan art will release and be less speculative and more iterative of Fuecoco’s evolutions.

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet release on November 18 for Nintendo Switch.
