While fans have been awaiting more news regarding Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, they've been at least given enough information to keep them busy in the meantime. With every new generation, the news most fans want to know is what the starters are like. While Scarlet and Violet have given fans that, it's only inspired them to imagine what they'd evolve into along their journeys. The only way fans can put down what they're thinking is through fan art.Sprigatito has intrigued Pokemon fans since it was announced with Fuecoco and Quaxly. Its cute cat-inspired design was quick to have its fans, and many of those supporters have made fan art that showcases what they'd like for the Grass-type critter to evolve into. Many of these art pieces deal with Sprigatito remaining on all fours instead of becoming bipedal, as that's a trend with many quadruped starters that fans want Sprigatito to avoid.RELATED: Pokemon Fan Edits Bass Pro Shop Sign to Include Magikarp

Fan Art Imagining Sprigatito Evolving Into a Grass/Poison-Type

This artwork by @Inkkk_r seems to depict Sprigatito's form as a Grass/Poison-type, just like the Venusaur line of evolutions. In the final evolution, Tyraviscum sees the Pokemon become more like a lynx, which is one of the theories behind Sprigatito's evolution. The poisonous spikes along its body as well as its coat featuring leopard dots that are also shaped like flowers is a nice touch. One of the creative things about this evolution's design is also the way Ink chose to name the evolutions, bringing Spanish into the mix due to the fact that Scarlet and Violet's region is inspired by Spain.

Long-Tailed Sprigatito Evolution Fan Art

Yet another design inspired by the possibility that Sprigatito could evolve into a lynx, @stardustpuddle on Twitter has opted to design a form that trades out Sprigatito's matcha-like color scheme for a white coat in the final evolution. Even though lynxes tend to have short tails, startdustpuddle's evolution for the Grass-type instead gives the form a long, vine-like tail covered in some sort of berries. It's easy to picture how the creature would attack with that tail, which helps players imagine Sprigatito eventually evolving into a similar design.

Sprigatito Evolution Fan art Inspired By Cacti

Once again, inspired by the theory that Sprigatito will evolve into a lynx-like Pokemon, Twitter user @arnau555 has designed his own version of the Scarlet and Violet starter's evolutionary line. However, what makes this design unique is the creative use of cacti elements in the designs. The middle evolution seems to take inspiration from flowers that can be seen on a few cactus species, while the final evolution has a spiky ball as part of its tail. Arnau has also made fake Pokedex entries for these designs that can be found below the full artwork, including the creature's types and abilities. This makes it easy for fans to imagine how Sprigatito might match up with other Pokemon.

Majestic Sprigatito Evolutionary Line Fan Art

Similar to a fair deal of predictions regarding Sprigatito's evolutions, @VillaimBoom1 has looked to lynxes for their take on the potential creature. However, the patterns and elegance of the evolutionary line make it look rather striking, giving it plenty of personality to stand out among the rest. This time, the middle evolution seems to have sprouted a bud for a tail that grows into a partial bloom during the final evolution. It can be seen coming out of the usual short, stubby tail lynxes are known for. The eyes of the final evolution designed by VillaimBoom are mesmerizing and unique, making many fans wish that the official version might have something similar.

Puss in Boots & Flamenco Inspired Sprigatito Evolutionary Line

Although many fans favor Sprigatito remaining on all four legs, some fans have come up with ideas for its evolutionary forms that argue for it to become bipedal in the end. The designs shared on Reddit by Ok-Development-5512 do a great job of leaning toward changing a few fans' minds. The final evolution seen on the bottom of the art pictures Sprigatito either evolving into a Puss in Boots-like cat or into something more like a Flamenco dancer, which is another popular fan theory about the Grass-type. No matter which form Sprigatito evolves into, the designs by Ok-Development-5512 might be the ones that fans would be okay with for a bipedal final evolution.

All the forms above are stunning and are sure to inspire other fans into thinking about what they'd like Sprigatito to evolve into. Whether the cat-like creature stays on all fours or begins walking on two at the end, there's surely going to be something there for all the fans of the critter so far to enjoy. At the very least, if fans aren't satisfied with the official version of Sprigatito's evolutionary line seen in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, they can look to these fan art pieces for inspiration before making their own.

As for what Sprigatito will actually evolve into, fans will need to wait for the games to arrive to see what's in store. While Pokemon Sun and Moon revealed the evolutions for its starters early, Game Freak was met with criticism for sharing too much and avoided the same mistake with Sword and Shield. While the end of 2022 may still be a while away, that doesn't mean fans can't have fun creating and thinking about what the game will bring with it in the meantime.

Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violet will be released late 2022 for the Nintendo Switch.
