Pokemon Scarlet & Violet has been out for a little while now, and despite the game's awkward debut, GameFreak has integrated several worthy updates to help get the game up to the franchise's standard. Now, as many fans have speculated and debated, GameFreak has announced that Pokemon Scarlet & Violet will be getting its own DLC additions to the two games.

These DLCs are The Teal Mask and The Indigo Disk. These two future DLCs have also confirmed the return of many fan-favorite Pokemon from previous generations, but that's not all. As confirmed by Nintendo and Game Freak on Scarlet & Violet's website, the DLCs will also be including more than 230 Pokemon.

As Nintendo and Game Freak has only confirmed a small selection of the DLCs' included Pokemon, a leak reportedly containing the full list will be referenced. However, these picks are not guaranteed unless they are officially announced.

10 Leak: Blastoise

Though not included within Nintendo's Pokemon Scarlet & Violet DLC reveals, leaks have essentially confirmed the return of the other two Kanto starter Pokemon to be added into Pokemon Scarlet & Violet.

This partial reveal has evoked heavy excitement in the hearts of many fans, as players who originally picked Bulbasaur or Squirtle were shadowed by GameFreak's push on Charizard. Blastoise is one of the most popular starter Pokemon, with even rival Gary having trained a Blastoise to compete in the big leagues.

9 Leak: Sceptile

According to the leaks on returning Pokemon to be included within Pokemon Scarlet & Violet's DLC, not only are the Kanto starters going to be reintroduced into the franchise's newest video gaming entry but other starters (except for Unova apparently) will be included in the game.

This even means everyone's favorite grass-type starter, Sceptile. Sceptile is one of the most popular grass-type Pokemon, and for great reason. Fans who have chosen Sceptile will be pleased to see their Pokemon in the new region.

8 Leak: Typhlosion

When it comes to the most popular starter Pokemon in the franchise, there's almost no doubt that Charizard comes to mind. However, Charizard isn't the only beloved fire starter out there, as Typhlosion may be a close second in popularity.

Typhlosion is the most popular starter in the second generation of Pokemon, and has recently made a second debut in Pokemon Legends: Arceus in a regional form where Typhlosion has the ghost-typing next to its fire-typing. Hopefully, Scarlet & Violet will include this regional form as well.

7 Leak: Infernape

Sure, Charizard and Typhlosion are some incredibly powerful and famous fire-type starter Pokemon, but fans can't ever forget the amazing Infernape. Infernape is the fire-type starter that players could choose in Pokemon Diamond & Pearl, and more recently in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl.

Infernape is one of the best fire-type Pokemon, and it is a fighting and fire-type Pokemon. Being based on Journey to the West and Son Goku, the Pokemon has amazing firepower. Since the Nintendo Switch Pokemon will soon all be connected to Pokemon Home, fans can hope to bring their Infernape over to the newest region.

6 Ninetales

As confirmed by Nintendo on Scarlet & Violet's website and trailer reveals, the Ninetales evolutionary line will also be included in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet's DLCs. This means that Vulpix and Ninetales will be in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet.

Ninetales is one of the most beloved generation 1 Pokemon that players could catch throughout their Kanto adventure. As of now, it is unsure if the Scarlet & Violet DLCs will include the regional Alolan for Ninetales, in which the fox is instead an ice and fairy-type Pokemon.

5 Zebstrika

Pokemon Past Paradox Forms Zebstrika

Though it is unsure if Pokemon Scarlet & Violet The Teal Mask and The Indigo Disk will include the Unova starters who weren't in the leaks, it has been confirmed that the DLC will include the Zebstrika evolutionary line.

Most importantly, this means that players will be able to obtain Zebstrika, who is a speedy beast when it comes to the Pokemon's competitive scene. Players will be able to use Zebstrika in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet, which also means players will be able to see the Terastallization mechanic being utilized with the electric-type Pokemon.

4 Dewgong

Pokemon Diamond and Pearl Dewgong

One more unexpected return to the newest additions to the new games is the water and ice-type Pokemon Dewgong. Dewgong is a beloved Pokemon that evolves from the adorable Seel.

This Pokemon was not only included in leaks of Scarlet & Violet, but Dewgong was actually confirmed to appear in the game's DLCs on the game's website. Fans of the Pokemon should be more than delighted to see Dewgong get some of the spotlight in the franchise!

3 Milotic

Not only were Dewgong, Ninetails, and Zebstrika confrimed to appear in the game's DLC as returning Pokemon for players to capture, but the competitive Milotic has also been announced to appear in The Teal Mask and The Indigo Disk.

Milotic was regarded as one of the best competitive Pokemon for players to use in Sword & Shield. That is because Milotic is a sole water-type Pokemon with intriguing stats and some great defensive moves to grant health and buffs to itself and friendly Pokemon.

2 Metagross

One of the original big-bad competitive pseudo-legendary Pokemon was Metagross. This creature is one of the most intimidating Pokemon ib the battlefield, as Metagross has amazing stats and powerful moves, along with belonging to the overpowered steel-type.

Metagross is another Pokemon to have been confirmed by Nintendo and GameFreak on the Scarlet & Violet website. It will be a wild time in Scarlet & Violet while players use the steel-type pseudo-legendary in competitive games.

1 Meowstic

Pokemon X & Y are regarded as some of the best games in the series. The Nintendo 3DS titles paved Pokemon's path into the newer generations of video gaming, and the Mega-Evolution mechanic is generally regarded as one of the better gimmicks of the franchise.

Meowstic, who was introduced in Pokemon X & Y, has been confirmed by GameFreak and Nintendo after including the Pokemon in a post on the DLCs' site.

Pokemon Scarlet & Violet is available on the Nintendo Switch. The Teal Mask and The Indigo Disk are available for pre-order.
