A Pokemon Scarlet and Violet fan made a crocheted Sandy Shocks figure that's also magnetic. The Generation IX is considered a Paradox Magneton, which is a type of Pokemon displaced in time that can only be caught in Pokemon Scarlet.

According to the official Pokedex, Sandy Shocks is a Ground and Electric-type Pokemon resembling an ancient Magneton that has lived for 10,000 years. In Scarlet, the Pokemon was featured in a paranormal magazine, while in Violet, it has no existing records except for data mentioned in an expedition journal. Players can catch their own Sandy Shocks by searching for it at the Great Crater of Paldea and using a Water-type Pokemon to weaken it.

For players who either have Pokemon Violet or haven't played Pokemon Scarlet and Violet in general, they can try making their own Sandy Shocks, which was exactly what MikaD0000 did with their crocheted creation. The fan uploaded a 10-second video on Reddit showcasing their Sandy Shocks figure, which can be separated and reattached via hidden magnets, giving it a fun, interactive attribute that suits the character well. MikaD0000 also shared their Etsy page, MikasPatterns, where players and crochet lovers can find patterns and figures based on various Pokemon, like Sandy Shocks and Shiny Gyarados.

Fellow Pokemon Scarlet and Violet fans praised the Sandy Shocks creation, saying that it's their favorite Paradox Pokemon and appreciating the fact that it's getting love despite being a seemingly underrated creature. One also suggested that it would be a great addition to Pokemon's official merchandise because of its unique magnetic design.

Dedicated Pokemon fans have been known to create various art based on their favorite characters. It can range from reimagined versions of Pokemon, like a Dragonite that had Dragonair's features, to hardworking projects like a wooden trading card box, terrariums, and 3D-printed statues. With nine generations and over 1,000 Pokemon, plus the many protagonists, Pokemon has given fans lots of characters to love (and hate) throughout the years, so it's understandable that they show their appreciation through different artistic mediums.

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet had a rocky start when it released back in November 2022 because it was marred with bugs and graphics issues. However, players seem to be sticking around and enjoying the gameplay despite the troubles it faced. Come February, Nintendo will release Pokemon Scarlet Violet's 1.2 update, which will include bug fixes and "added functionality," so fans are hoping for even better gameplay in the future.

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet are available now on Nintendo Switch.
