The Pokemon Company and Game Freak are set to launch the next generation of Pokemon titles this November. Pokemon Scarlet and Violet will take trainers into an entirely brand-new region and be the first traditional open-world game in the series. While the pair of RPGs seem to take a couple of ideas from Pokemon Legends: Arceus, players should expect the core features that the series is known for, such as turn-based battles and Gym Leader challenges.
And, of course, there will be dozens of new critters for players to catch on their journey through the Spain-inspired region. As Pokemon Scarlet and Violet get closer to launch, more Pokemon will be revealed that have never been seen before. There's no telling how large the new Pokedex will be just yet, but fans should expect a pretty high number. And for those looking for a place to see all the newly revealed Pokemon, this list will have them all.

This list of new Pokemon for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet will continue to be updated as we learn about new Pokemon coming to the game. The Pokemon Company and Game Freak will surely have lots to reveal as the release date inches closer.

Like every mainline Pokemon game, there will be version exclusive Pokemon that can only be caught in one game and must be traded over to the other game if anyone wants to collect all the new Pokemon in the region. Trading with friends might be a little easier in Scarlet and Violet, as the game will have up to four-player co-op support, a first for the series. If all goes according to plan, players should hopefully be able to trade and battle with nearby friends without much hassle.
As of right now, the only known version-exclusive Pokemon are the two Legendaries for the region, Koraidon and Miraidon. The former is exclusive to Pokemon Scarlet, and the latter is only for Violet players.
Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violet launch on the Nintendo Switch on November 18, 2022.
