In just a few days, the next Pokemon Scarlet and Violet seven-star Tera raid boss battle will arrive for players to challenge. The news arrived just shortly after two ongoing Tera raid events concluded in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, which will give trainers a short reprieve before the next battle begins. The upcoming seven-star Tera raid battle will be the sixth to be released since the launch of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, and the first to follow up in a short time since the conclusion of the previous Tera raid against Decidueye the Unrivaled. In previous seven-star Tera raid battles, the boss Pokemon was a level 100 starter Pokemon that was featured in previous entries in the Pokemon main series. With a wide variety of Pokemon to pick from, coupled with this generation's Tera-type battle mechanic, the next seven-star raid battle may prove to be another tricky one to figure out.RELATED: New Job Listing Has Pokemon Fans ConcernedAccording to Serebii.net, Pokemon Scarlet and Violet trainers will face Samurott the Unrivaled, which will have the Bug-type as its Tera-type, in just a few days. The raid battle will begin at 0:00 UTC on Friday, March 31, and conclude at 23:59 UTC on Sunday, April 2. However, the Tera raid will have its second run the following weekend, from April 7 through April 9. Known as the Formidable Pokemon, Samurott first appeared in Pokemon Black and White for the Nintendo DS. Interestingly enough, like Decidueye before it, Samurott had a Hisuian regional form in 2022's Pokemon Legends: Arceus. As the fully-evolved form of Oshawott, Samurott the Unrivaled will be in its Unovan form, which is usually a pure Water-type Pokemon.

Samurott the Unrivaled will grant the Mightiest Mark upon defeating it, and it will likely have its Hidden Ability to use in battle. In this case, Samurott would have Shell Armor, which would prevent it from taking critical hits. As for which moves the Formidable Pokemon could bring, Samurott can learn moves such as Swords Dance and Focus Energy to bolster its attacks. Samurott is also capable of being a mixed attacker, with access to moves such as Megahorn, Surf, and Hydro Cannon to take advantage of the same-type attack bonus (STAB) it would get from its base Water and Tera Bug types. This means that Fire-type and Rock-type Pokemon will not be recommended for the fight. Only time will tell what strategies Pokemon Scarlet and Violet players will form ahead of this new Tera raid battle.

Later in April, Pokemon Scarlet and Violet will have another patch to address some ongoing issues. Between the seven-star Tera raid and the upcoming patch, April may be quite a busy time for Pokemon players.

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet are available now for Nintendo Switch.
