Anyone who's been keeping track of the development of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet will have come across various leaks by now. The immensely popular franchise's next entry in the series is driving a lot of hype and excitement as usual, and fans are eager to see what Game Freak has in store for them this time around, which is bolstered further still by the air of mystery that still surrounds these games.

This trend of information leaking out ahead of official announcements is seemingly set to continue for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, too. Centro Leaks, a Twitter account that's dedicated specifically to Pokemon leaks and news, has just published a series of tweets that show off some of the information its sources could afford to share, including an all-new worm Pokemon, the Primeape evolution, and more.

It's been known for some time now that the more neglected Pokemon would be getting attention in Scarlet and Violet, but no specifics had been available up until now. According to Centro Leaks, the leaker that sourced all the information featured below was asked, for example, to recreate Primeape's new Fighting/Ghost evolution using just emojis. The result is both predictably hilarious and interesting, especially for fighting Pokemon fans.

The final evolutions of the starter Pokemon have been a point of contention for the community, too, to the point where fans designed custom Scarlet and Violet starter evolutions. The leaker wasn't at liberty to share the specific designs, of course, but they did seemingly supply very rough sketches of the creatures, suggesting what their silhouettes and color schemes might look like in the end.

This time around, there's also a need for Game Freak to deploy a number of entirely new creatures to replace the classic Pokemon that aren't coming back in Scarlet and Violet. According to the leaker, one of these will be a worm-themed creature whose sketch definitely looks like an actual worm. It's worth pointing out that precious little is known about this Pokemon aside from the vague idea that it might exist.

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet is embracing RPG mechanics at last, but much is still unknown about the gameplay mechanics and progression at this time. Game Freak and Nintendo are bound to release more information in short order, but in the meantime, Centro Leaks' information seems reasonably believable. Naturally, it's worth keeping a pinch of salt at hand since these are unverified leaks, but it's a potentially interesting early look at one of the most anticipated releases of the year.

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet launch on November 18, 2022, exclusively for the Nintendo Switch.
