When Pokemon Scarlet and Violet were first revealed, only a handful of Pokemon were shown in the trailer. But by extension, the confirmation of those Pokemon also confirmed their evolutions and baby forms. Now that a second Pokemon Scarlet and Violet trailer has dropped, even more Pokemon have been confirmed for the games along with their evolution lines, so that we now have 80 Pokemon confirmed for the games at the time of this writing.

Out of the 80 Pokemon confirmed for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet so far, eight of them are brand-new Pokemon. The previously revealed Pokemon Scarlet and Violet starters (Sprigatito, Fuecoco, and Quaxly) are all new, and they are joined by the freshly revealed Lechonk, Pawmi, and Smoliv. Pokemon Scarlet and Violet have also confirmed the two box art legendaries that players will be able to collect in the game, with one exclusive to Scarlet and the other exclusive to Violet.

Pokemon Scarlet players will be able to catch the legendary Pokemon Koraidon, whereas Pokemon Violet players can catch Miraidon. The two Pokemon both look like dragons and are presumably Dragon-type, though their specific typing has not been confirmed at the time of this writing. They seem to be themed after the two new Pokemon professors that players will meet in the games, though the extent of that remains to be seen.

The following is a list of all the Pokemon confirmed for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet so far, compiled by Serebii.

Between now and the Pokemon Scarlet and Violet release date, there will be many more Pokemon revealed for the games. Pokemon fans likely count on more returning Pokemon for Scarlet and Violet, but one has to imagine that there will be plenty more brand-new Pokemon to look forward to as well. It's also possible that Pokemon Scarlet and Violet will have regional variants that offer new looks for existing Pokemon, though that has yet to be confirmed at the time of this writing.

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet launch November 18, exclusively for the Nintendo Switch.
