Pokemon Scarlet and Violet's release date is creeping up, but the companies involved have only revealed a handful of new creatures ahead of launch, with the most reliable info for the Pokedex coming from a handful of leakers. Indeed, Pokemon Scarlet and Violet leaks like the Paradox Pokemon, various creature archetypes, and general typings have been a fountain of information for those who feel starved by Game Freak and The Pokemon Company.

Of course, navigating legitimate and fake leaks is hard no matter what the franchise is. Two of the most proven and reliable leakers include Kaka and Riddler Khu, both of whom have seen various Pokemon Scarlet and Violet leaks proven true in the games' official marketing. So, with Khu describing what fans should expect from the Dark Dog, the Mice Family, and the new Worm Evolution lines, it's much more reliable than some of the information out there.

Perhaps the most interesting detail relates to the Mice Family. This evolution line was previously leaked and then spotted in an official Pokemon Scarlet and Violet trailer, but it's one Pokemon that is a pair of mice. It evolves into a family of mice eventually, but it seems there are two forms. According to Khu, one of the special forms of the Mice Family evolution is super rare, and they encourage players to catch multiple of this Pokemon as it is apparently random.

Thanks to leaks, it's been known for some time that Pokemon Scarlet and Violet would feature three Dog evolution lines, with Fidough and Greavard already being confirmed. Joining this trio is a Dark-type Dog Pokemon, with Khu simply stating that its two-stage evolution changes color. The first form is apparently orange, while the second form is gray. It could be that this riddle, as it were, is something deeper, but it's likely just the color design. The final one appears to show the body type of the upcoming segmented Worm Pokemon, with the main thing being that the Pokemon is pink.

Indeed, it's quite surprising that the release date is so close and yet so few new Pokemon have been officially revealed. What makes it worse is that Pokedex leaks for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet suggest that there are 400 Pokemon in the game, with 297 of those being returning mons and 103 of them being new creatures. In other words, it would seem there's still a lot that could be shown ahead of launch, but it's uncertain how blind Game Freak and The Pokemon Company want fans to be.

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet release on November 18, exclusively for Nintendo Switch.
