The Pokemon Company released Pokemon Scarlet and Violet with several bugs and glitches, but there may be some balancing issues as well based on this player's ability to crush a powerful Greninja in a raid with one attack. Among the other issues that Pokemon Scarlet and Violet players have discovered are performance drops, battles that are strangely interactive, and falling through the ground, but this issue seems strictly stat based.

A Reddit user has garnered 1,800 upvotes on a Pokemon Scarlet and Violet post that shows them joining a raid against a 7-star Terastallized Greninja with three other trainers. Pokemon raids were first introduced in the console series with Pokemon Sword and Shield and the feature was so popular that it was carried forward with the November release of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. As Pokemon X and Y introduced Mega Evolutions, and Pokemon Sun and Moon introduced regional variants, Pokemon Scarlet and Violet includes the new Terastallized forms that vary combat up in a unique way.

Reddit user Nommable123 recently shared a Pokemon Scarlet and Violet video that pits their level 100 Krookodile against the Terastallized Greninja in the Pokemon raid with the support of a Meowscarada, Umbreon, and Shiny Medicham. Having the first attacks, the powered-up Greninja used Double Team to lower the likelihood of being hit by an attack before littering the battlefield with the Poison-type attack Toxic Spikes which barely phases the Pokemon trainers. Undisturbed from the two attacks from Greninja, the group of four Pokemon unites to defeat the Greninja with one blow.

Meowscarada begins the onslaught with Flower Trick which guarantees that Krookodile will get a critical strike on the Greninja before Medicham uses Pure Power on the same Pokemon. Umbreon quickly uses Screech to lower the defense of Greninja the Unrivaled before the move rotation gets to the stat-boosted Krookodile who hits the Greninja with an incredible Earthquake that causes the Poison-type Pokemon to faint from one move. The quick victory was also boosted by Krookodile holding the item Choice Band, Umbreon carrying a Zoom Lens, and Meowscarada and Medicham having a Focus Sash, all of which improve stats further or prevent fainting respectively.

Although it's currently unclear if Nommable123 teamed up with friends to knock out the Greninja with one hit or if they were paired with random players, it's likely that the helpers weren't AI based on their attacks. Given how quickly the Pokemon Scarlet and Violet raid was completed, the team may have gone in with a plan in mind or had experience with previous Greninja battles.

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet are available now for Nintendo Switch.
