The family Pokemon Maushold and its two adorable forms became a favorite for many Pokemon Scarlet and Violet fans immediately as the games launched last November, but one funny clip shared recently by a fan of the cute mouse Pokemon shows it evolving into a seemingly invisible form. While this is the product of yet another glitch, it's hardly the most outlandish bug that fans have encountered in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet over the past few months.

Just one of the 107 new critters added to the wonderful world of Pokemon, Maushold is an insanely cute yet powerful Pokemon whose main feature is its family nature. Although it counts as a single Pokemon, Maushold can come in two different forms, one consisting of a family of four mice with the other being a family of three. Its preceding evolutionary form, known as Tandemaus, consists of a duo of small mouse Pokemon, with the only obvious change in appearance upon its evolution being the addition of either one or two baby mice Pokemon. The form of Maushold that is evolved is essentially just random, and while the family of three form is significantly more rare, one fan has shared a video featuring the never-before-seen family of zero Maushold.

Of course such a form doesn't actually exist, but a clip shared on Reddit by the user minhdnguyen certainly makes it seem so when the camera fixes on the player's Tandemaus evolving into an invisible Maushold. Lovers of the adorable Pokemon can be at ease though, as instead of just vanishing into thin air, the evolved Maushold simply became the victim of an unfortunately-timed bug which likely caused the Pokemon to clip into the inflatable platform during its evolution. Although this Pokemon's evolution animation is ordinarily not triggered when it evolves, the player in this case sent it out into battle just before it leveled up, which causes the animation to play.

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet have been infamous for their technical issues since the day they launched, with no end of bugs, performance issues, and poor graphics severely impacting the experience for many players. Invisible Pokemon would be far from the weirdest glitch seen in the games so far, as countless hilarious clips online have put the spotlight on bugs causing player characters' eyes to pop out, NPCs to walk straight through staircases, and characters to just fade out of existence without warning.

As can be seen in clips such as this one, most of the bugs seen in the Generation 9 games are generally more funny than they are disruptive. Despite this, common issues causing players and Pokemon to clip out of bounds have caused many issues for shiny hunters in particular, and Scarlet and Violet's reviews have suffered dramatically as a result of these problems.

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet are available on Nintendo Switch.
