Pokemon Scarlet and Violet still has not revealed the evolutions for any of the starter Pokemon in the game's roster, leading fans to keep making up their own versions of final evolutions as well as the whole evolution tree. One Pokemon Scarlet and Violet fan has created their own version of Fuecoco's final evolution based on the dragon from the legend of St George.

Fuecoco is the fire-type starter Pokemon that will be in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. St. George is a catholic saint that was executed for his faith by the Roman Emperor Diocletian. Many years after his death, there was a legend that he had killed a dragon that had been holding a princess captive. He became a famous patron saint for knights of medieval times.

Reddit user PaleAd6109 posted their version of Fuecoco's final evolution, and it's based on St. George's dragon. PaleAd109 said in the first comment that this version of Fuecoco's evolution is based on albino crocodiles and the dragon from St. George's legend. They also said that the evolution follows the Pokemon Scarlet and Violet leaks claiming that Fuecoco could be Fire/Ghost-type in its final evolution. The image PaleAd109 posted shows a crocodile with a reversal of Fuecoco's coloring with wings popping out of its back.

This interpretation of Fuecoco's final evolution is not the first one to be shared and is unlikely to be the last until Game Freak finally releases the official evolution tree. This particular one has a few good reasons detailed in the comments of the post that give it a place in the new region. One commenter brought up the point that St. George is present in Catalonian culture, which Pokemon Scarlet and Violet is seemingly inspired by, making it fit into what fans know about the game's lore.

Fuecoco's evolution has been a divisive topic since the announcement of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet with many versions being created by fans. This one feels the most plausible with its design being simple but yet close enough to Fuecoco itself that its real final evolution could have a similar look. Since the debate on what food Fuecoco is based on has been laid to rest, evolution designs like this one from fans hint at a more realistic crocodile look to the Pokemon.

While each of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet's starter Pokemon are beloved by fans who continue to make awesome fan art based on them. The speculation fans have for each Pokemon's evolution is likely to continue until any official announcements are made. Until then, Pokemon fans remain excited and eager for more information as well as the release of the game later this year.

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet will release on November 18, 2022, for the Nintendo Switch.
