A group of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet players nearly lose during a Dragapult raid. Many fans of the RPG series have come close to losing really intense battles. A number of Pokemon players likely have stories of times when they barely came in clutch and won against the odds.

Dragapult is a Dragon/Ghost-Type that was introduced in Generation 8 of Game Freak's series. The pseudo-legendary Pokemon evolves from Drakloak at level 60, and is the final evolution of the Dreepy family. The pocket monster has the signature attack Dragon Darts, which is a multi-striking Dragon-Type move.

A Reddit user named A-Bored-Man uploaded a clip showing three players taking on Dragapult in one of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet's raids. In the video, the team all have their pocket monsters Terastallized and managed to get the Dragon/Ghost-Type down to a small sliver of health. However, the Dragapult unleashes an attack that knocks out two members of the team. The remaining creature, a Sylveon, is near defeat with only a small percentage of its HP remaining. The Pokemon then uses Hyper Beam, which was just enough to take down the raid boss. It was an intense moment that shows how battles can come down to the wire in Pokemon.

Many Reddit users can agree that Sylveon's hidden ability, Pixilate, helped the Pokemon win the battle by making Hyper Beam a Fairy-Type attack, which Dragapult is weak to. One commenter related to A-Bored-Man, as they also barely finished a raid with their brother, which they stated came down to the very last second as well. Another gamer said that they would have soiled themselves if caught in such a moment, while another mentioned that Hyper Beam being super effective against an opposing Pokemon hurts their brain. All who play Nintendo's series can agree the video that A-Bored-Man uploaded showcases a battle that would have had everyone on the edge of their seats were they themselves a part of it.

While a number of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet players have had moments like the one A-Bored-Man uploaded, they are still great to watch. There is a lot of excitement when a battle reaches that level of intensity, as viewers wonder which side will come out on top. They are the types of battles that can help make the Pokemon series entertaining as players manage to come in clutch and barely manage to pull out the victory. As gamers continue to play Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, they will keep squeezing out wins that come down to one final attack.

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet are available for the Nintendo Switch.
