The full details for the upcoming Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Cinderace Tera Raid surface online, giving players a heads-up on what to expect. Even though the performance and technical issues of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet have gotten a lot of attention since it launched in November, there are plenty of fans who have still found a lot to love with the experience overall. From fan art, community creations, and countless player gameplay clips, there's certainly plenty that keep fans occupied with the games.

In addition to community contributions, Game Freak has attempted to keep the game feeling fresh through added content. While players continue to wonder about potential DLC and expansions similar to what Pokemon Sword and Shield received, for now, Game Freak has added new Tera Raid event battles. The first introduced the event known as Mightiest Mark Charizard, gave fans a chance to catch the fire dragon for a limited time. The next Tera Raid featuring Cinderace is now arriving.

In celebration of the Year of the Rabbit, Cinderace is the next featured Tera Raid Pokemon. The former Pokemon Sword and Shield starter arrives over two weekends, from December 30 to January 1 and then again on January 13 to January 15. New details have finally surfaced as well, including its Tera Type being set to Fighting, which means players should use a Pokemon that is a strong counter like Fairy, Flying, or Psychic types while also keeping in mind of Cinderace's fire type moves as well.

While Pokemon Scarlet and Violet players can challenge the level 100, seven star Cinderace multiple times, it can only be caught once. Thanks to the Pokemon fan site Serebii, Cinderace carries the Mightiest Mark and has a variety of moves including High Jump Kick, Pyro Ball, Acrobatics, Iron Head, while also having access to Bulk Up. Players also have a chance to score some great rewards like candy, tera shards, ability patches, bottle caps, and TMs.

There has been some general concern among players due to the fact that another Fire type starter is being featured in these Tera Raid events. With Charizard, players found that Azumarill was an incredibly strong counter, making the fight feel a bit easy. Unfortunately, it appears that Azumarill is again going to be a great counter to Cinderace thanks to its type being a Water and Fairy type which means it resists fire moves and is supereffective against pure Fighting type creatures which Cinderace becomes when it Terastallizes.

Pokemon Scarlet & Violet are available now, exclusively on Nintendo Switch.
