Although Pokemon Sword and Shield may be the games that the core audience of Pokefans are currently clamoring for, that doesn't mean they are the only Pokemon titles arriving in the near future. Pokemon Rumble Rush just released on Android devices in Australia and the mobile game is about to launch worldwide for Android and iOS users in the near future.

Pokemon fans who are avid mobile gamers may already be hooked to Pokemon GO, but the latest entry in the Rumble series seems like it will offer a more traditional mobile gaming experience. The self-described free-to-start beat 'em up likely won't appeal to everyone, but it does offer yet another way for Pokemon fans to interact with the world of creatures.

At this point, there hasn't been any official confirmation about potential crossover content between Rumble Rush and the other Pokemon titles. Pokemon GO and Let's Go have been crossing over quite frequently, but that doesn't necessarily mean it will become the norm for other Pokemon mobile games, as well.

"In Pokémon Rumble Rush players assume the role of an intrepid adventurer tasked with discovering new islands and the various Pokémon that inhabit each area. As they explore each island players must overcome the hordes of enemy Pokémon that stand in their way. By tapping the screen, the players’ partner Pokémon will rush in and attack each oncoming wave. During each of these encounters there is a chance one or more of the Pokémon will befriend a player and in turn use those Pokémon in future battles. Each island adventure features Super Boss fights and, if victorious, players have the chance to get items that power up their Pokémon.

As they play Pokémon Rumble Rush, players will have the chance to encounter hundreds of different species of Pokémon. The more players explore the game world and take part in special events, the more Pokémon they will discover—possibly including Legendary and Mythical Pokémon! Exploration may also lead to players finding a previously undiscovered stage, and as a reward, players get to name it."

An early look at the assets make it seem like this game will launch with creatures from every generation of Pokemon. That gives players plenty of creatures to try and encounter, so it will be interesting to see if they are all available at launch or only select creatures are. We should learn more once the game drops worldwide, so be sure to check back for more details soon.

Be sure to check back in the near future for more Pokemon news, updates, and strategy guides. Until then, good luck out there, trainers!
