Pokemon + Nobunaga's Ambition Trailer

It's safe to say that the upcoming Nintendo DS title Pokemon + Nobunaga's Ambition is easily one of the most bizarre crossovers ever witnessed in gaming history, and many felt that way when the game was revealed last month. That's not to say that the game will be lackluster in any way, shape, or form, but it's still a peculiar installment in the Pokemon lineage. Regardless of how bizarre this game initially appears, it still has "Pokemon" in the title, meaning that it will surely sell like hotcakes when it hits Japan later this year.

As the game slowly marches towards release in Japan, North American gamers who would like to avoid importing the title are still wondering whether or not they'll get a taste of the sweet, sweet Poke-nectar known as Pokemon + Nobunaga's Ambition. While Nintendo of America has yet to release any information on the game's potential localization, Japan has been a complete polar opposite. In fact, they've just released a brand new trailer for the game, and it features all kinds of awesomeness that hasn't been shown until now.

The latest trailer for Pokemon + Nobunaga's Ambition can be caught below.

Regretfully, I'm not fluent in Japanese, so I'm unable to decipher what new details the narrator has revealed for Pokemon + Nobunaga's Ambition. Still, in this particular case, the gameplay speaks for itself, and those who plan on getting the title regardless of whether or not it's localized should enjoy it.

The highlight of the trailer (other than the spring platforms that launch Pokemon throughout the stage) is the confirmation that Pokemon can and will evolve during battle. The roster of usable Pokemon could also potentially be quite elaborate, as the trailer is indeed hinting at. Odds are that every Pocket Monster revealed to-date will be included in this DS crossover, but Pokemon enthusiasts shouldn't bank on that presumption quite yet.

How interested are you in Pokemon + Nobunaga's Ambition? Do you think Nintendo will release the game outside Japan?

Pokemon + Nobunaga's Ambition releases in Japan March 17, 2012, for the DS.
