Pokemon Masters is the latest Pokemon mobile game. It's not an AR sensation the way Pokemon GO is; Masters is a Trainer battling game with Gacha elements. So, it makes sense that with a Gacha game many players will want to reroll after their opening lottery.

In Pokemon Masters, you are a trainer collecting sync pairs to use in battle. The sync pairs are a greatest hits of trainers from the Pokemon universe. These are similar to the characters you receive in popular Nintendo Gacha game Fire Emblem: Heroes - characters from throughout the series' history are collectible in a variety or varieties and strengths. Players use these trainers and their Pokemon to fight other trainers through a story mode in real time 3v3 battles.

Where the game gets into Gacha territory is when players are rewarded with purple gems for almost every action. Logging in, battling, completing story missions all will get you gems, among other items. With the opening reward bonus players receives enough to recruit an opening handful of sync pairs. Don't get what you want? Well, hardcore players who plan to stick with the game for hours will suffer through the opening 15 minutes again for better chances.

With a good deal of games of this type, the player has to uninstall the game to delete their data and redownload to try to get the opening team they want. In Pokemon Masters this is no longer the case. Simply go into the options menu by tapping on the Poryphone in the main hub. Then in the bottom right hand count go into Account. Under the Account settings "Delete Save Data" is an option and can be done at any time.

The reason to reroll in this game has to do with the star system. Each Sync Pair will be between 3 and 5 stars, with 5 stars being the rarest. These are a general measure of quality separate from levels, a pair of any star value can be leveled up through battle. If players roll 3-stars in their opening run many fans of the genre suggest that they reroll in an attempt to get 4-star or 5-star pairs in the mix. It just depends how valuable 15 minutes is to any given Pokemon Masters player.

Pokemon Masters already seems to be ramping up with in-game events and challenges. We'll see how it evolves over the first month of play.
