Pokemon Masters has only been out for a couple of days and has already become an incredibly popular title amongst fans, focusing more on the massive cast of characters from across the series and allowing players to properly interact with them. Jumping into this different, new Pokemon world may be daunting for some, though, so we at GameRant are dedicated to bringing those players guides to help give them a better understanding of the game and share with them tips and tricks to quickly advance through its challenges. We've already written up how to evolve certain Pokemon and now we're here to explain how players can get hold of a certain iconic rival that's sure to become a mainstay of many a player's team - Blue.

Before those desperate to add him start trying to plow through the main story as quickly as possible, it needs to be noted that Blue isn't actually in the game yet. He won't be added until September 2nd, when Pokemon Masters' first Story Event, titled "Reach for the Top", will be made available. This event will feature Blue and his Pokemon partner Pidgeot as part of your team but completing it won't unlock the pair permanently for players. Instead, the event adds them to the Sync Pair Scout pool, giving a players a chance to find him whenever they have the Gems to spare. The event only lasts until September 29th, meaning actually acquiring Blue requires some lucky rolls. Fortunately, it has been confirmed that Story Events will come back, so Blue won't be gone forever if some players miss out.

While Pokemon Masters is enjoying its newfound popularity, that doesn't mean the other Pokemon mobile game has been left high and dry. Pokemon GO is still set to receive updates, with its fans eagerly anticipating Generation 5 Pokemon to be added in September. Only three Pokemon will appear first, along with their evolutions, but dataminers have already found models for 62 Pokemon in total, including the three Starters and three Legendaries. They will also all come with Shiny variants as well.

Pokemon Masters is available to download for free on mobile devices right now.
