Unlike Niantic's Pokemon GO, which brings the creatures from Game Freak's popular series into the real world through augmented reality tech, DeNA's Pokemon Masters is more a celebration of the characters featured in all eight Generations of Pokemon games. Pokemon Masters recently added Gloria and Zacian from Sword and Shield, and now it is planning to add fan-favorite character N from 2010's Pokemon Black and White.

In his original appearance, N is a young man who can communicate directly with Pokemon, an ability abused by his foster father Ghetsis to command either Reshiram or Zekrom and take over the Unova region. His interactions with the games' protagonist, either Hilbert or Hilda, help N rise above the ulterior motivations of Team Plasma. His appearance in Pokemon Masters alongside Zekrom suggests it takes place after the events of Pokemon Black.

N follows in the footsteps of Gloria as a trainer partnered with a Legendary Pokemon who will be available through a Poke Fair Scout, rather than being given away for free similar to Rayquaza, Mewtwo, and others in the past. He will be available between December 23 at 10:00 p.m. PT and January 28, 2021, meaning those looking to pull Pokemon Masters' 2020 Holiday characters have time for both.

As part of the "All Regions Assembled" rally that kicked off with the introduction of Gloria, players will receive "enough gems for one x11 scout" the day N is added alongside his story event, The Ideal Formula. Pokemon Masters, renamed Pokemon Masters EX for its first anniversary, also confirmed on Twitter today that the Champion Stadium feature will soon host the Johto Elite Four: Will, Koga, Bruno, Karen, and Champion Lance.

Pokemon Masters EX is available now on Android and iOS devices.
