Nintendo had a special new announcement for Pokemon Let's Go fans during its E3 2018 press conference. Those who purchase the previously announced Pokeball Plus Nintendo Switch JoyCon controller will receive Mew for Pokemon Let's Go Pikachu and Pokemon Let's Go Eevee. Mew will be an exclusive just for Pokeball Plus buyers, making it all the more enticing for Nintendo Switch Pokemon fans.

When Nintendo says that the Mythical Pokemon Mew will come exclusively with the Pokeball Plus, it's unclear exactly what they mean by exclusive. Perhaps it's just a clever bonus for players to acquire so early in Pokemon Let's Go. Pokemon GO players will be able to transfer over the Mews that they've caught after all. And hopefully there's still a way to discover the rare Pokemon in-game, as well.

The Pokeball Plus JoyCon controller for the Nintendo Switch was announced alongside Pokemon Let's Go Pikachu and Eevee just recently. The Pokeball-shaped controller will allow players to come that much closer to simulating the life of a Pokemon trainer. Especially so, since Pokemon Let's Go features the Pokemon GO feature where players "throw" a Pokeball to catch new Pokemon. Just be careful not to throw the Pokeball Plus into your television.

So far, Nintendo has only announced one way of acquiring a Pokeball Plus controller. Two different bundles have been announced and are already available for pre-order. Each one will include a copy of either Pokemon Let's Go Pikachu or Pokemon Let's Go Eevee, along with a Pokeball Plus controller. Retail pricing for each bundle is $99.99.

Nintendo may still make the Pokeball Plus controller available individually so Pokemon fans can use them cooperatively without buying a second game, so make sure to check back later so you can get a Pokeball Plus of your own. There will be no better way to play Pokemon Let's Go.

Pokemon Let's Go Pikachu and Pokemon Let's Go Eevee release on November 16 exclusively on the Nintendo Switch.
