Following mega evolution rumors that surfaced about a week ago, Pokemon Let's GO unveiled a new trailer that altogether confirms the presence of mega evolution in the game. Not only that, however, but this new trailer showcases Vermilion City, double battles, and the presence of Team Rocket. Because of their presence, this trailer does much to promote the hype about the upcoming role-playing game.

Of course, the big news is the factor of mega evolutions, and the gameplay shown below features the iconic starter Pokemon mega evolving. Pokemon Let's GO will at least feature Mega Venusaur, Mega Blastoise, Mega Charizard (X and Y), but could potentially feature every first-gen mega evolution. This would expand the list to Mega Beedrill, Mega Pidegeot, Mega Slowbro, Mega Alakazam, Mega Gengar, Mega Kangaskhan, Mega Pinsir, Mega Gyarados, Mega Aerodactyle, and Mega Mewtwo (X and Y).

Nevertheless, whether the game includes every Mega-evolved form mentioned above or not, it's still great to see the feature that was first introduced in Pokemon X and Y and continued to have a presence in Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire. Check it out the latest trailer below:

One thing worth mentioning is that, as of right now, we know that Pokemon Let's Go Pikachu and Let's Go Eevee each have three version-exclusive Pokemon, but the addition of Mega Evolutions could push that count a little higher. After all, Mega Charizard X and Mega Mewtwo X were version exclusive to Pokemon X, with the Y forms being exclusive to Pokemon Y.

The addition of Mega forms to the version-exclusive roster would also explain the low number of exclusives since the original Pokemon Blue and Red each had six exclusives instead of three. Nevertheless, these questions will be answered in due time, as Pokemon Let's Go Pikachu and Let's Go Eevee launch in a few months' time to the full glory of the Kanto Region.

Pokemon Let’s Go Pikachu and Pokemon Let’s Go Eevee release on November 16 exclusively on the Nintendo Switch.
